Airline Industry News and Discussion
I don't think the airlines are a viable business anymore. If prices go too high no one will fly. We will have subsidize them even more. Then again highways were never a business except for construction companies and government.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
Blue Ash would explode with residential high rises If it could build a streetcar itself. Looping around the major employers. The Blue Ash airport is a gold mine for that kinda construction. I wish planners in this area would think of the big picture for just ONCE. It already has an underused rail line that could be used for Light Rail.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
^Maybe, I never seen a metro bus in Blue Ash.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
Cincinnati needs light rail first. Once that is in place the streetcar ridership will explode. I could settle for either or both. ;)

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
Does anyone know what the development is like along the subway lines in Pittsburgh and the light rail lines up in Buffalo? I was in Pittsburgh over the weekend. I still can't understand how that city moves with the very small highways it has. Maybe they have 1000's of buses moving around the city.

Middletown-Monroe-Lebanon: General Business & Economic News
Solar firm scouting plant sites locally An Athens, Greece-based solar panel manufacturer has looked at several sites in Southwest Ohio for a more than $50 million plant that could employ several hundred people. Kimm Coyner, director of the Warren County Port Authority, said the Ohio Department of Development only identified the prospect as an international manufacturing company using the code name "Project Helios." She said she understood the project could eventually employ between 400 and 600. Mapping Columbus Foreclosure Hot Spots
Honestly, if people change their habits. The country will be even worse than it is now. In the future i can see more modest gains in housing, maybe going up 7k-15k a year or so. We won't see the 30-40k gains a year anymore in most area's. If we do, we will be back where we started with an even larger debt.
