  1. Brilliant statement... Congressman Kucinich is doing his job, and in the video doing it quite well. He is asking the tough pointed questions that deserve answers. We need to find out the role that the Comptroller of the Currency, John Dugan, played in "..pushing NCB off a cliff"; as well as the role of these credit rating agencies and short sellers. It is suspicious to say the least that Dugans' former client was PNC, and if you believe that imprisonable offenses have occurred than I believe the "sleazeball" Congressman agrees with you, and is trying to do your bidding. I meant Kashkari. The names look similar.

Most airlines won't be in business in 10 years. It will all be private. So having a hub does not mean there is a bright future. Things have changed since 2001.
  3. Kucinich is a sleazeball. I hope people start going prison.

Shouldn't this and the peak oil thread be merged?
  5. They should all go and create a new American brand. They can reuse plants that have been shut down like the plant in batavia.
  6. Wow i thought they had nice profits lately.
  7. Is it just me or this building is purple?

Why does NCR keep it's HQ in Dayton then?

The bigger they are the harder they will fall. The way things are going it looks like Atlanta will lose 100,000's of jobs before the economy swings back up.
  10. I hate companies that say they need such and such money to survive. If the US GOVERNMENT never stepped in to bail out anyone. We would be in much better shape today. Some of the airliens would have been long gone though. They might as well scrap bankruptcy. It's not working like it's suppose too. We might as well go back to bartering.

It might be time to make incentives before a company even talks about moving a division. I don't care what anyone says. This company did not move down there because of a BMX track, dog park 2500 seat amphitheater, etc.
  12. More of a reason we should NEVER sale our businesses to foreign entities. I wonder now how many American companies will continue to ship international with DHL.
  13. It's good to see big city names in the top 25. We usually just hear names of the whole state.
  14. It's time for businesses to be businesses. I know when my business has lost $1 I would change things that same day. For businesses to wait until they lose billions to try to change, that inexcusable.
  15. Banks also charge you for cashing a check even if it's drawn from their bank if you don't have an account with them.
  16. So does this mean 50,000 jobs will be made because of this new plan, since it's in 5 cities?? I doubt it. That's why i think the original plan of 10,000 was in question.
  17. Suppliers would not have to close. The other companies will be ordering more parts with more consumers going to them, If one or all the tops go down. All will not be lost.
  18. Chrysler just said any merger deal are off the table.
  19. The government can't do ANYTHING to help GM improve sales. And i don't see sales improving for a long long time.
  20. Have either of them done bankruptcy yet?

What point are you trying to make "yo"? Rub it in?

Why it it we have the cooperate offices here that aren't moving but they move satellite divisions? Ohio has to be in danger of losing the big companies in the state, if it's so much cheaper to do business in GEORGIA.
  23. They might as well fold now. It's not going to get any better, unless they fire everyone and rehire people making $18-$24 an hour instead of $30-$45 an hour.

What a shame. I don't understand companies at times. Dayton needs the jobs much more than Atlanta.
  25. I saw 5th/3rd in Fort Myers when i was down there last month. I was very suprised
