Delta Pilots Vote to Authorize Strike ATLANTA - Delta Air Lines Inc. pilots, angered by management's effort to throw out their contract and impose deep pay cuts, voted by a wide margin to authorize a strike, union leaders said Tuesday. The 94.7 percent vote in favor of authorizing a strike gives union leaders the authority to set a strike date. They didn't set a date immediately and gave no indication when they might act. The results were announced in a memo to pilots from the chairman of the union's executive committee, Lee Moak. An arbitration panel must decide by April 15 whether to void the pilots contract. The union has said it will strike if its contract is rejected. The nation's third largest carrier, which is operating under bankruptcy protection, has said a strike would put it out of business. General Roads & Highway Discussion (History, etc)
Yeah 3 lanes turning in one direction. I think when i was down inMiami, they had 3 lanes turning onto the entrance ramp to I-95, no wonder it backs up so much, they allow so many cars on at the same time.

General Roads & Highway Discussion (History, etc)
Are any of these in Ohio? I was just down in Lexington on Man of War Blvd and i witnessed it at work. It's kinda scary in the middle lane. I know they have them in the Miami area, but i have not been there for years. I just thought it was odd to find them in Lexington, Ky.

Job growth in the south and why is Ohio far behind?
Dallas added over 75,000 jobs last year. Pheonix add 100,000 jobs last year. Houston add 73,000 jobs last year. Why is the south kicking ass? Is it because they are taking companies from the Midwest and relocating to the south or their local companies are expanding so much, yet Ohio companies can't expand as much? I just don't understand it.

I think the state of Ohio knows what's happening in SW Ohio. That's one reason I-75 is being widen to 8 lanes at least between the two downtowns as we speak. I've seen suggestions that I-75 needs to be 12 lanes between the 2 metro's.

Just think of the newest CSA Baltimore-Washington. If you live in Baltimore you'll tell people that's where you live and not DC. Same with Cleveland-Akron. If you live in Akron you won't say you live in Cleveland or am i wrong?

Well from the Census stand point. The Dayton UA has a part of middletown in it and the Cincinnati UA has a part of middletown in it.
