  1. Was there a reason for utility relocation in the first place? San Francisco seem to have been fine all these decades operating their street car. Dayton has an electric bus system that has been fine after all these decades without moving utilities.
  2. ^No doubt, since the whole system is aging and needs to be replaced anyway.
  3. Well we got our answer. $38 million for only 1.2 miles just for utilities.
  4. Odd. And now this. http://www.wlwt.com/news/police-officer-on-motorcycle-struck-while-leading-funeral-procession/32066594?utm_source=Social&utm_medium=FBPAGE&utm_campaign=News&Content%20Type=Story&linkId=13193524
  5. The problem is people don't stay at their jobs 30+ year any more. Once we get back to that, there will always be some moving around.
  6. City council got owned by the feds today. Told them to butt out of the hiring process for the running of the Streetcar..
  7. Mason tried to pull a fast one. Had an illegal meeting to pass an incentive for P & G. Offer this stuff to someone outside the region and legally.
  8. If I was driving alone and in a big hurry (on the way to a job interview or a date), I'd happily pay $10 to bypass a traffic jam. That's a no-brainer. The higher toll is not to pay for the HOT lane it's to pay for additional police to enforce it. Crazy. The citizens has no control over tolls.
  9. Just one more reason not to toll the bridge. http://www.king5.com/story/news/local/2015/03/18/express-lane-405-tolls/24949471/
  10. Anyone know why it costs $4 million a year to operate 3.6 miles of streetcar? If it doubles or triples in length is it $8 or $12 million a year? A million a mile to operate it?
  11. Is the $54 million the state pulled enough to finish the uptown segment? IS it true there is an underground water main and electrical system under vine street that will cost $100 million alone to move?
  12. Why are they not running buses in it them selves if that was the case? How much did they pay to construct it? I thought it was paid for by the Fort Washington way overhaul by highway funds(gas taxes). How does Metro control it now?
  13. I wish Delta would pull the plug already. Maybe sell the hub to United Airlines. http://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2015/02/17/latest-round-delta-cuts-cvg/23565213/
  14. Are they replacing another bridge? I see new support for another bridge that is not MLK. If so why make a new one with so little traffic that uses it?
  15. It seems to work for them since they are one of the fastest growing metros in the united states. Something is working.
  16. I always wondered if they decontaminate cars. I guess they don't. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2941720/E-coli-dysentery-meningitis-BUBONIC-PLAGUE-NYC-subway-DNA-tests-scientist-says-won-t-die-lick-one-metal-poles.html
  17. A Seattle TD was not guaranteed. There has been MANY goal line stands over the years.
  18. Although this is Butler County it is a part of greater Cincinnati. Shuttle from Butler county to CVG and the Dayton airport to begin. Hopefully it's a start to something more comprehensive. http://www.butlercountyrta.com/uploads/pdfs/2014-15%20Shuttle%20Information%20Handout.pdf
  19. Gordon has been suspended for one year.
  20. Urbanized area. In the USA case consolidated urban area(CUA). Not total MSA or CSA. The international community don't follow the same criteria as the USA definitions.
  21. It's interesting Cincinnati and Dayton is starting to be recognized in an international scale. Cleveland Akron Canton too. http://citypopulation.de/world/Agglomerations.html
  22. Honestly. To lower costs. They should look at international companies to do the job.
  23. Better get the county and state involved if the up-town link is to be funded. I doubt Cranley has said one word to either about it. Cranley should have been asking the state to at least help with operating the system for a couple of years.
  24. ^70%? The feds don't match funds any more?
  25. The tolls are coming. The tolls are coming. http://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/politics/2015/01/27/kasich-beshear-brent-spence/22394885/
