It's simple cut payroll. 450 people seems like alot of people to employ having only 20k in it's bounderies. They should never had went union that was stupid.
  8. give it a chance folks. All of the facets are not in place. Any building looks bad when not complete.
  9. Trucks are a problem, but i would not send them to I-275 creating even more problems on that over congested interstate. I would create a mini bypass some where around the Monroe area connecting over too I-71 and expand I-71 to over I-471 and extend I-471 to the I-71/I-75 split. It would be much cheaper since I-71 have alot more room to expand than I-75 does.
  10. Basicly that last link is where the new Center of Cincinnati is(middle bottom).

I was just around that area today and it was backing up onto the highway even on a saturday.
  12. wow Towers are coming out of the woodwork now.
  13. I just went to the ODOT web site and they are only widening the shoulders from 4 feet to 10 feet.
  14. As far aa i know they are only doing the duplex of I-74-I-275 to 4 lanes each way. And the ramp meters at the interchanges from I-275-I-75. They are installing them later this year from what I last heard.

^ I would agree, because there is lots of room to widen Tylersville road.
  16. Look at the ohio river bend.

^ it will not be a limited access highway like I-75. It will be like a blvd with stop lights. Like Victory parkway. So that requires less right of way and there is room for that without taking out any homes.
  18. ^^I don't see no one else coming in here with the cash to get it done.
  19. ^^ 40%??? I don't care what the articles says i don't think it's that much.

hmm I wonder, if someone desided to buy some land in the eastern rural part of the county, would they have to pay impact fee's too?
  21. ^^ It's as simple as they know Cincinnati had the clout to bring other new players into the region where newport does not. They know Cincinnati will replace what is lost.
  22. Really though how much money can a city have? They built 2 new stadums. Expanding a convention center. Built a brand new perforing arts center. Built fort washington way. Subsidize many large festivals(eg. octoberfest). Spending 2 billion on remodeling and building new schools. all of this in a city of only 340k.
  23. That's alot of sprawl. That could be about 160 condo towers.

wow nice find. We need more of these instead of sprawling sub divisions.
