That's an outdated picture too. It's amazing how sprawling Cincy is getting.

Warren County growth
well the metro is much much larger than when the first highways was first built. And this one is in a high growth area. And to tell you the truth I think highways bring growth.

That route would take out new subdivisions that have just been built.

• Rehabilitate the Brent Spence Bridge for use by Interstate 71 traffic and build a new I-75 bridge west of Longworth Hall Is it me or is that bridge is going to be built at an angle??? or you can kiss that new hotel and williys goodbye? And anything east would take away the Quality inn(radison inn)?

Cincinnati: Brent Spence Bridge
7 lanes in each direction????? The Brent Spence Bridge could handle its current traffic load "indefinitely" as long as it is properly maintained over the next 16 years, according to a new report by the highway departments of Kentucky and Ohio. The findings counter a 1999 study that concluded that the 41-year-old Brent Spence had 12 to 15 years of structural integrity left. Officials from both states stress the results don't diminish the need for a new bridge. http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050109/NEWS01/501090362/1056/news01

National Geographic sprawl picture
http://magma.nationalgeographic.com/ngm/data/2001/07/01/map/pdf/mp_download_20010701.3.pdf Galaxies of light across the United States illuminate the scope of sprawl; yellow and red reveal its radiating creep just since 1993. People have migrated to the periphery of cities “to find more housing for less money,” says Alex Krieger of Harvard University. “Until this advantage is neutralized, sprawl will remain in our future.”

Cincinnati: General Transit Thread
Hehe I know what you mean. You can see the tunnel going southbound. There is about 300FT or so where you can place a few rail cars, so both northbound and southbound can see them.

Warren County growth
Warren county loves to sprawl. Travel SR 48 from I-71 to past Mainville. It looks like it might be designated urbanized pretty soon.

Cincinnati: General Transit Thread
The reason why i said something about this is because. The delays on the roads and freeways during the snow storm was 2+ hours. If their was light rail the HUGE delays would have been cut down for the ones that would want to ride light rail. Even tonight 7.10 pm I-75 southbound is at a stand still from 275 to the rive . and that has nothing to do with snow. We need more options in the ohio metro area's.

Cincinnati: The Mill Creek
Isnt it the most polluted water way in America? How should pay for it? The industry along that creek of course. Proctor and Gamble should fork up some money. The mill creak actually go through the plant in St Bernard.

ODOT wants to build light rail. It was the people of our region that turned down the last proposal.
