Greater Cincinnati Metro (SORTA) and TANK News & Discussion
Metro to halt Sunday buses 19,000 must find new rides By Gregory Korte Enquirer staff writer Riders get on a Metro bus Tuesday at Government Square, downtown, bound for the Mariemont area. Sunday bus riders could face elimination of service in March. The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority plans a public hearing for Thursday, Jan. 6, on its plan to eliminate Sunday service. The hearing will be 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Cinergy Center (formerly the Albert B. Sabin Cincinnati Convention Center), Fifth and Elm streets, downtown. Comments can also be sent to SORTA by e-mail at [email protected], by fax to (513) 621-5291 or by mail to 1014 Vine St., Suite 2000, Cincinnati, OH 45202. Comment cards will also be available on buses. Do you ride the Metro bus? Tell us what you think of a proposal to eliminate Sunday bus service. Or pass along other comments about Metro bus service. Email reporter Steve Kemme at [email protected]. Cincinnati's Metro bus system said Tuesday that it would cancel all Sunday bus service unless Cincinnati City Council approves its proposed fare increases. Unless Council reverses its position today, the board of the city's transit authority voted Tuesday to cancel Sunday bus service starting March 6. Cincinnati: General Business & Economic News
You knowI have driven through there around union last week. It's amazing how much has changed. These are the people though that going to be sitting in traffic 30 mins just to get to downtown. What should be a 15 min trip will be 45 mins. I-75/I-71 needs to be 5 lanes each way or face terrible commutes just to get to downtown Cincinnati, needless to say Blue Ash or Union center.

It might be a while since they will have to wire underground. Power internet uses the powerline into your home, but on the outside they need a whole new wire to connect all of the houses like cable.

Well they send out a mailing to all the area's that's covered. I got mine. It came 2 weeks after the guy came to the house. It's hard to find out on the site, since you have to put that code they give you in the mailing.

Yeah same here, some young guy came around our area(Silverton) selling the service. I have not gotten it yet, because of my brother being in the hospital. I think i'll get it around Christmas.

Cincinnati: I-71 Improvements / Uptown Access Project (MLK Interchange)
^Victory pky has to be the most under used 6 lane street in Cincinnati. I guess Xavior would get the most benefit from an interchange there. I guess the city said it was not worth it for a private college.

Build the thing already. I can't think of anyplace where a bridge has been built that has destroyed habitat on a river in the usa. This is not a third world country. Sometimes these people piss me off.

Orange Barrels And Construction To Shift On I-75 Reported by: Deb Silverman Web produced by: Neil Relyea Photographed by: 9News 11/16/04 6:26:41 PM You might have noticed the orange barrels on I-75 north of the city are on the way out. Before you breathe a sigh of relief -- the construction work just north of I-275 is still far from over. The work around the area will be finished at the end of the week. Give it another year and those orange barrels will be back on '75.

Cincinnati: Interstate 75
I suggest taking out the whole east side wall and just route both northbound and southbound traffic through there. Demolish the 1 mile bridge(northbound). Tear out the abandoned warehouses that caught fire and go from there.;) Not many homes will be affect by my plan..;)
