Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
Surprise the city has a $18 million surplus. Hmm where will the spend it? And and the casino revenue came in under than expected. No surprise there. Some of that for sure is due to the development around the streetcar route.

Another Dumb-a$$ List / Ranking of Cities
What? On that list #6 is Columbia, Maryland. :wtf: It shows being #6 as a bargain but not #6 as the best place to live. So it's yes and no. lol

University of Cincinnati Bearcats Football Discussion
Such a shame. RIP to the player that was killed today. The town must be cursed. Something bad happens always before a big game starts. And this time a life is lost.

Cincinnati Bengals Discussion
The 25th overall ranking is based on average yards allowed per game, and that's the standard way of "ranking" offensive/defensive teams. This time of the year, that ranking is highly misleading because we had only played two games, but Simms wasn't wrong when he said they were ranking 25th. But yeah, by in large CBS announcers are pretty bad. A few hundred of those yards was junk yards. The team put in their second stream players while the other team had their #1's, since the Bengals had big leads in EVERY game.

Cincinnati: Brent Spence Bridge
So it seams there was a crash on the bridge that sent another vehicle off the upper deck. The whole bridge is closed. With I-71 closed southbound. The region will feel the effects all day. I hope no one was killed.

Cincinnati: I-71 Improvements / Uptown Access Project (MLK Interchange)
They say this interchange is to bring new jobs to the area. 7000+ They are not going after new jobs, but jobs around the region to justify the interchange.

Cincinnati: Eastern Corridor
Exactly. The Eastern Corridor planners expect the Clermont County-to-Downtown traffic to follow OH-32, cross the new bridge across the Little Miami, continue north on the Red Bank Expressway north to I-71, then take I-71 south into the city. Which is a just about as illogical as the current route that goes south into Kentucky then north into the city. In reality, a large number of people would take OH-32 across the new bridge, then exit onto Central Parkway and follow that route into the city. So Columbia Tusculum gets a few thousand extra vehicles per day clogging its streets as well. For reference, here's the map of where the potential new OH-32 alignment would be between Mt. Carmel and Fairfax: http://easterncorridor.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/17-SR321.pdf Alot of them work in Blue Ash as well. It would take a load off I-275 that has daily backups from Wards Corner to I-71.
