What the hell is Rob Portman talking about now? The streetcar was never good use of federal money

Didn't the city alter the route after the state took the funds away but was able to keep the federal funds? They would not do it this time around. You can only give someone so many chances.

They will analyze both the first phase and second phase before canceling. So even though the state took the 50 million from the city for the 2nd phase they will still put that into the numbers.

^ They ran a story about the 100 year floods a few months back. There is so many locks along the Ohio river now. It's unlikely to ever happen.

It won't be long before some cities start to loot this city of it's major businesses. Why would they stay in this environment? SKY HIGH expensive airport. Tolls coming to the BSB. A city that renege on contracts. A city that has a failing Union center, Music hall, sewer system, Western hills viaduct, underused transit center, politicians that try's to ban funds and much much more. Any positives anywhere that would bring in new businesses???

I would take this over nothing though. Denver is a fast growing city. It won't take long to bring up the density around those stations and along the line.

The feds would never go for that. For example: they are investing in the Enhance Clifton transit project in Cleveland and are insisting that the bus service be increased from hourly off-peak (probably to at least half-hourly) and that weekend service be restored. The feds don't invest in something just so that it can be neglected or under-utilized. Is the transit center under 2nd street under utilized? The feds can't be happy with Cincinnati at all.

Oh you forgot the $120 million to operate it over 30 years that they are starting to hammer into peoples heads.

8-4 is a good record. They are winning despite Dalton's play. He did make 2 good throws, but the team needs much better play from him if they are going to win a playoff game.

No city would take our design in-place of theirs. Cranley mentioned selling the streetcars to another city. Dumb dumb thinking.
