  1. If the project is halted, it will be cancelled. Word is lawsuits will be ready before John Cranley and council even takes a vote on the streetcar Lawmakers? lol
  2. Looking at the crystal ball. I see gloom times for the city of Cincinnati. They will be spending so much money paying lawsuits there will be nothing else to pay anything down. Which in-turn will force the city to go bankrupt. Cranley will just blame the past administration. Bankruptcy is his out since it would solve the pension problem as well.
  3. http://www.wlwt.com/news/local-news/cincinnati/oki-to-get-25m-loan-for-mlk-interchange-project/-/13549970/22977674/-/jyfhl7z/-/index.html?utm_source=HootSuite&utm_medium=Facebook&utm_campaign=wlwt5
  4. Didn't the city take out a $60m bond? Did they spend that money yet? If not how did they come up with the $25 m figure that they already spent? Did they spend the bond money then dip into the Fed money???

Here is how Cobb county will pay for the stadium. All without a vote from the public. Talk about being fleeced. http://deadspin.com/heres-how-cobb-county-will-pay-for-the-braves-ballpar-1464404976?utm_campaign=socialflow_deadspin_facebook&utm_source=deadspin_facebook&utm_medium=socialflow
  6. ^ I don't think he can sign anything until he is in office Dec 1st.
  7. The city manager was asked to resign.

No doubt. With all the stuff that is going on down there I was surprised to read about the city having no money.
  9. I don't think we can blame this one on Cranley. Maybe , but the shenanigans in the city the past week didn't help.
  10. Not a good week for the city of Cincinnati. http://www.wcpo.com/money/local-business-news/saks-fifth-avenue-agrees-to-open-new-store-in-kenwood-in-2016
  11. Didn't Cranley just blackmail the city in saying it will default on the parking deal unless they break the deal? That's legal?
  12. KJP it will be too late for that. The Feds already put a deadline on the funds to be spent.
  13. I suspect some businesses will leave now. http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20131112/BIZ/311120064?nclick_check=1

  17. ^And it's will also go beyond costs. The perception of the city from outsiders. And that perception will be negative.

So they are just going to leave a baseball only stadium to another baseball only stadium less than 20 miles away??? Is the Turner field paid for? Seems like a HUGE waste. Ted Turner better be paying for it himself.
  19. The feds will not like cancelling of the project at all. Doesn't the city continue to fail the clear air act? Why should they help fund on a smog inducing interchange yet the city would kill a green project?
  20. ^ How much would the credit rating drop?
  21. So any mayor could just come in and cancel a project like the Waldvogel Viaduct after it is started?
  22. They only way out of the contracts is bankruptcy. That is the only court entity that would get the city out of the contracts. Is he willing to go to that extreme to kill the project? Time will tell.
  23. ^With the labor we have today it's impossible to have that kinda system today.
  24. "Less than 24 hours after voters chose him as Cincinnati’s next mayor, John Cranley was already talking to White House officials about using streetcar money for other projects. " Really??? http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20131106/NEWS/311060056/Wasting-no-time-Cranley-moves-kill-streetcar?gcheck=1
