Chabot is being slaughtered in this poll. http://cincinnati.com/blogs/politics/2012/06/28/u-s-house-bars-federal-money-for-streetcar/ It funny how that story is getting buried(hard to find) where as other stories about the streetcars stays in front(easy to find) for days.

Isn't the brent spence bridge a fixed guideway? I mean they are talking about tolls on the bridge. That makes the bridge controlled access. A "fixed guideway" refers to any transit service that uses exclusive or controlled rights-of-way or rails, entirely or in part. The term includes heavy rail, commuter rail, light rail, monorail, trolleybus, aerial tramway, inclined plane, cable car, automated guideway transit, ferryboats, that portion of motor bus service operated on exclusive or controlled rights-of-way, and high-occupancy-vehicle (HOV) lanes.

Airport issues, rail issues, transportation issues in the area is insane. Local leaders are not helping. They want big businesses to leave. I hope some do to give them a wake up call.

Ok thinking ahead. If Chabot stay in office 10 years or so. The streetcar is still only in the loop phase. It needs the uptown phase to get more people on the system. So you telling me Chabot all by himself wasted 20 million dollars because of the money already spent on the streetcar if they choose to postpone phase 1? I can't see a reason why the city would go forward if there is a permanent block ahead. It my be time for the city to bring lawsuits for going against the people of the city..

Who has the authority to remove it? The President? If so Mark Mallory better bring it to his attention. Because the President may not know it's in there.

Prepare for the worse. The next bill will be 2015. You can plan the extensions then and apply for more Tiger grants and other funds. Hopefully Newport and Covington can apply for grants and get an extension in the two years the ban is imposed with the bill, if it passes.

He was elected to bring more funds to the area not ban them. Might as well ban all funding fro mthe federal governmental if he feels the Cincinati street car caused the whole USA to become in debt. He talks about irresponsibility, yet that I-75 and Brent Spence bridge destroyed a whole neighborhood, which was a national treasure.

^Funny they are all right to work states. I never lived in a right to work state, but I think it's good to have options. You can either join a union or not.

^ In Silverton they put in new traffic light at the corner of Plainfield and Montgomery Rd. This was completed about 2 years ago. Then a year later they tore everything up again at im sure higher costs. Everything looks new again. Yet I saw no increase in the bill. I have no idea why they didn't do the work when they were putting in the new light. Crazy waste of money for all involved. Well waste of tax payer money.

That's not a good thing for man kind. Too much methane is locked in the polar ice. If that is released due to global warming we are all in trouble. Ohio needs to rethink it's strategy what ever it is.

City Crime Rates 1990-2011
Not sure how we could get away with deporting criminals to another country, assuming without their permission, and I can't imagine why they would agree to it. Incidentally, in regards to prisons, I just read an article not long ago about how Ohio's prison population has declined in recent years. Just label repeat violent offenders terrorists. Then get them out of here. There is laws on the books that you can do that to terrorists. Citizens or not.
