I would say it's to keep all cities on an even playing field. Atlanta has never been penalized for their bad air and they still get full funding from their projects. I think smaller Metro's like Buffalo could benefit greatly. Why have 6 or 7 thriving metro's when you can have 20+ thriving metro's if they can get funding for the things that they need? All cities over 1 million or close to it should have light rail. Cities like Des Monies would need it as well because constructing them now will be much much cheaper than constructing them 20-30 years from now when their is no gas. Just give all major cities a chance to compete instead of a handfull.

They should just allocate funds per population. No more big digs which costs 14+ billion. It would be far to give LA 18 billion every 10 years or Cincinnati and Cleveland 2.1 billion every 10 years. I think they could do alot with it compared to a 14 billion dollar boondoggle. You get more for you money in Ohio than Calif or New england.

Here's an interesting comment. "Here is an idea for Southwest... add in Cincinnati at the expense of LEX, LOU, DAY, CMH, and IND. We are centrally located to all of those cities and are the largest market at 2m+ compared to each of them, in some cases double the market size or more. As a bonus, we have plenty of runway capacity and terminal space."

This team has a chance to be great. This will get them experience. It maybe growing some pains, but it could send them to multiple division winners for years to come.

What do you mean lighten up? They have BY FAR played the easiest schedule in all of major league baseball. The Cubs have played the next easiest. They are 30 over .500 against loosing teams and 11 under against winning teams. I don't know if you know this but their are no loosing teams in the playoffs. They have done this all year and will do it in the playoff's.

One just hopes they will not be swept in the playoff's.
