Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
Is everything turning out ok with the the streetcars we got so far? This quote raised an eyebrow. "The same company has come under scrutiny in the past couple of years in Houston, Cincinnati and Kansas City, Mo., for delivering rail cars late and providing some that didn’t meet specifications. In Houston, for example, the company’s cars ended up 8,000 pounds heavier than the maximum weight sought, leading to higher electricity costs to operate the city’s light-rail system."

Cincinnati: Wasson Way Trail
Cincinnati City Council approved terms of a deal last summer to purchase the corridor from Norfolk Southern for $11.57 million. That agreement is set to expire in July, but the city could opt to pay a nearly $590,000 fee to extend the closing to July 2017. This serious???????????

Cincinnati: Brent Spence Bridge
They need to separate I-71 from I-75. If it's cheaper to split it in Walton with a new highway to I-471 then do it.

Cincinnati: Brent Spence Bridge
Correct. Allegedly he requested $$ for painting in the next budget. I completely agree that with $30 million in work on the entire span and approaches (which is really not a lot of money) this thing will be structurally fine for years. I support tolls, but I STRONGLY opposed this crazy project to build a new supersized bridge adjacent to this one, The bridge itself is about 700m, it's everything else leading up to it that skyrockets the price.

I have no idea where they get these people from on 700 WLW. I'm not sure if they are true or not, but this guy said tolls will be $4 each way across the bridge.

Cincinnati: Western Hills Viaduct
So this thing is up to 280 million now. Tear it down I say. Use the new viaduct down the road. The 8th street expressway is under used anyway. http://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2016/02/17/city-county-heading-viaduct-feud/80511654/

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
The city has been losing people since the 50's when the streetcar left. Now that the streetcar is here the city is having more economic activity than seen before in recent years. It's obviously making an effect on the city in a good way.

So the city lead the metro in housing permits. That in itself is amazing. I blame the streetcar. ;) http://www.cincinnati.com/story/money/2016/02/05/rebound-new-home-construction-last/79830898/

Cincinnati: I-71 Improvements / Uptown Access Project (MLK Interchange)
isn't the whole point of the project to enable the fastest ingress and egress of commuters from Blue Ash and Indian Hill to get to and from uptown jobs? I can't imagine anyone at ODOT is losing sleep over how "livable" the area is now or will be once the project is complete. This project was funded in the promise of bring 6000+ jobs to the area. We will see how that plans out. I doubt they would spend 200 million for a couple of doctors to get to their offices in uptown faster.

They are former right? I'm sure the league has updated rules. If this was legal we will be getting players killed on the field.

As a taxpayer for the Bengals stadium I'm mad as hell the NFL is giving the Rams and the Chargers 100M each to help build that stadium. The county needs to sue the NFL.
