One more thing im from pittsburgh and in my opinion columbus is not better than cleveland and cincinnati for some reason (I have no idea) columbus population is just so much bigger.

Maybe but the supposed to be urban part of columbus really isnt urban to me becouse when i went on a osu tour/columbus tour before i chose uc/cincinnati i then noticed how suburben the city was.....
  4. This is great, $52million that sure is a high priced school I looked at the cincinnati public schools plan and that school by far is the most expensive.

I do not think columbus is the most progressive city in the state I mean tell me this JohnOSU99 what is columbus doing that makes it the most progressive city in the state....... Besides building sub-divisions and malls........

yeah they need to beat the indians becouse the indians did sweep the reds right out of cleveland about 2-3 weeks ago.....
  9. ha ha ha yeah you all are right....must be typo
  10. well the financing is already ready
  11. And how will they pay for this ferry becouse ive seen one on the net and they are not cheap at all and it really want be cheap with resturants and a movie theater on board, more than 10million without question......
  12. No not really my question was why is the design and engineering phase taking so long when its such a simple project.
  13. I just looked at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland website and I didnt know that the Freedom Center is Bigger.
  14. Nice I like the new rec center seems to be alot of construction at UD
  15. well even before they got the other half from ODOT it was already in the design and engineering phase its been in that phase since january. They say construction is going to start this summer and should be complete by spring 2005. And no i think they are not going to phase out government square as you can see they are spending 10million on it and the riverfront transit center doors should be unlock when the freedom center opens....
  16. wow richNcincy you could have not said it any better it really does look homey.
  17. grasscat i did not say the freedom center didnt need suburb peeps i sad im not that sure if alot will visit the center. There is alot of pictures at undergroundrailroad.org
  18. napier1 replied to CincyImages's post in a topic in Urbanbar
yeah ive been thru and dayton is horrible
  19. What in the hell is going on with the government square design i mean its not like we are building a central business district underground transit facility its just new passenger shelters, new sales center, more landscaping and a 5th street side walk so whats the holdup we could have designed a hole new stadium with this amount of time so what do you guys think is happening maybe its done and they are planing the release.....
  20. Thats true grasscat i do understand but im not that sure that alot of west chester and other suburb people are going to visit the freedom center anyway so im not sure they will have a massive affect on visitor turnout.
  21. what i like about the freedom center and why i think it will work after the first 2 years is this museum isnt like the other 1 trillion museums where they have all the artifacts and stuff you can find that everywhere see the freedom center is diffrent becouse at the freedom center you can actually expierence what slaves went thru not just read about it and look at it thru 3-inch thick glass like other museums....
  22. yeah the people at the freedom center said that they will bring in new things over time to keep the museum fresh.
  23. Jeff I dont understand people like you I find people like you so unhelpful to cincinnati. To me cincinnati has not developed a true national reputation of being racist. For some reason people like you(jeff) think that people around the country is really paying attention to cincinnati let me tell you i know people from new york to los angelos and they are not paying any attention to anything(racism) in cincinnati so cincinnati has not developed a real reputation for being racist....... P.S "BTW, there is actually already a pretty interesting (tho small) museum on the African-American at Wilberforce College, near Xenia." Who Cares.....
