  1. Looks like this issue could go to a recount. COTA Sales & Use Tax Last updated: 11-08-2006 02:17AM 99% of precincts reporting Yes 169,992 50% No 167,749 50%
  2. 1) Vancouver/Squamish, BC 2) Tokyo 3) Reykjavik 4) Rome 5) Montreal
  3. A grand total of two kids here in Gahanna, and they were walking together. Not too surprising since most of the kids in my neighborhood are now grown up and the weather was crappy, but it's still pretty lame.
  4. Steak and Shake is a ripoff, even with a coupon. Eat n' Park is pretty good, and the Beaver Falls PA location was always packed when I lived there, no matter the time of day.
  5. I still want a Jack-in-the-Box :-D
  6. http://www.snponline.com/NEWS6-21/6-21_whsonic.htm It will be in Whitehall it looks like.
  7. Sorry if this has been posted before - pretty cool streaming webcam: http://mainstreetbridge.bounceme.net/
  8. Nice town. Not far from some great racing at Eldora in New Weston.
  9. They're big up in Wisconsin, but there is one in Hilliard and last I heard one was going up in Powell. Butterburgers, frozen custard and cheese curds: can't beat it.
  10. Culver's frozen custard.
  11. I'll take Meijer anyday. Great sale ads and double coupons, though I hate how often they "run out" of the good sale items :whip:. Giant Eagle is too damn expensive, but uncrowded and nice. Their best sale prices are still higher than Meijer or Wal-Mart's everyday price. And for Kroger... I worked at their small Gahanna store for three years and now they're going to give up prime location, high priced, easy in-and-out store and open a behemoth triple the size. Screw that, sales at the old one were already better than the much bigger store at Stoneridge. Oh, and Monica Gordon (article) = one of my former bosses. Woooo.
  12. I know it's not big news (and I'm not sure if I even have this in the right place), but Sonic has an ad on Careerbuilder hiring managerial positions for a new location in Columbus. Doesn't say where or when, however. Mmm, Sonic..

Can I go up in the plane!!!! Too poor to fly right now. This flying shit is expensive and dangerous. Does anyone know where the airport extension will be? Will it be a new building or expand off the current one somehow? CMH_Downtown will write you a novel about CMH shortly, but go here for all the detailed PDFs (at the bottom of the page). http://www.port-columbus.com/about/m_plan_future.asp Here's just a few more random photos from in-and-around Columbus. Sorry they all look dark and weird, it was hazy and my Photoshop skills are terrible: Doing the JC Penny approach: Coming into Bolton a bit too high (looks like an old postcard, doesn't it?): I think we all know what this is:
  14. Went to Columbus State Community College for a year. Finished up my schooling May '06 at the Community College of Beaver County in Monaca, PA with an Associate degree in Air Traffic Control. I'm unemployed right now looking for something to tide me over until I get hired as a controller by the FAA.
  15. The downtown photos are from May 2005 and the final two from November '05. Did CMH-Bolton over downtown in my rental Skyhawk. From November: overflying CMH at midfield: Landing 28L: EDIT: reduced file sizes for faster loading.
  16. My family currently resides in Gahanna, about two miles north of Port Columbus. Right before the family moved, my dad lived at Little Turtle in Westerville for a bit, but these are the only two links to Ohio for any family or relatives that I know of. I grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and the majority of my relatives live/lived in the Milwaukee metro area or other parts of Wisconsin.
