I agree!

View of Downtown Columbus
I drove by the corner where the new residential tower will be built and had to do a double take when I saw that a portion of the warehouse had been removed. Good to see them get the ball rolling and rather quickly at that.

Metro Dayton: Road & Highway News
Expect more delays even after this project is done.....my office is currently redesigning the I-75/US35 interchange (including tearing down the old Reynolds+Reynolds building/clocktower).

Hello--new and looking for relo advice (Columbus)
Dublin is definitely considered one of the best suburbs of Columbus and it's a quick on US33 from Marysville. Hilliard is a little further south along I-270 than Dublin, but it's a little more affordable, but still has good schools. Just out of curiosity, where do you live now?

The Ohio State University Buckeyes Football Discussion
Members of the family Mustelidae (Wolverines, Badgers, Ferrets, Skunks, etc) are supposed to be the most voracious carnivores of the animal kingdom.

Wolverines aren't rodents, they're weasels! (hate to defend that school up north, but I have a ferret, which is in the same family as the wolverine, and I get tired of people calling him a rodent! :whip: )

Youngstown: Restaurant News & Info
JohnOSU99 replied to YtownNewsandViews's post in a topic in Restaurants, Local Events, & EntertainmentThere's a Handel's down the street from me on Feder Road.....not bad, but I prefer Graeter's. Handel's ice cream has a very rich, creamy taste to is so if you get something like Cookies 'n Cream then it's very good, but if you get something like Mint Chocolate Chip then it tastes wierd.

CLEVELAND - Lurking on the Lake
I thought you might be a Canuck since you spelled favorite with a "u". I've never been to the GTA, but hope to visit one day soon. Please don't go back to lurking, you've got the HOTTEST avatar on here so post as much as possible!!!

THE University of Cincinnati
There are a couple of guys at my office who graduated from OU and their diplomas say "The Ohio University"

Nice pics! BTW, are you Canadian?

They might as well change the fight song to "On, Wisconsin"!

THE University of Cincinnati
Problem is most people just say "Miami" leaving out the U. I think Ink was just busting ColDay's balls for saying "Miami U. of Ohio" instead of the common "Miami of Ohio".

Post Office murals
Good news indeed. Has anyone ever posted a pic of the exterior of the Mt. Gilead Post Office on here? A little of subject, but....I was in Marion yesterday delivering some right of way plans to the City Prosecutor's office which is in an old bank building next to the County Courthouse. The interior was an interesting mix of old and new. They erected walls inside the bank to create office space, but the walls only go 3/4 the way up to the ceiling so you can still see the old architectural features of the bank.

Did you get any pics of the surrounding neighborhoods? Have they finished the Calhoun Street Market Place project?

Union County: Jerome Township Developments and News
Dublin has 3 high schools: 1. Dublin Coffman (old Dublin High School) located right off of I- 270 in Franklin County 2. Dublin Scioto (1995) located north of I-270 off of Sawmill Road, also in Franklin County 3. Dublin Jerome (2005?) located in Jerome Township in Union County

Northwood meeting set for rail overpasses (Lucas County)
BTW, that graphic is incorrect. We're not going to be removing the South Drouillard Rd. pavement as The Blade is showing. Also there will be cul-de-sac's on both sides of the Norfolk Southern RR tracks where existing Wales Rd. used to cross.

Northwood meeting set for rail overpasses (Lucas County)
I'm doing the cost estimate for this project right now....anybody want me to work something in for them, like a public transportation system for your town? :wink2: I will be turning in Stage 1 plans at the end of April (woo-hoo!).....Just hope ODOT doesn't make many changes between now and Stage 2 :whip:

General Roads & Highway Discussion (History, etc)
What's so scary about being the first in-line at a SPUI? Don't hit that concrete square in the middle of the Sawmill Rd. overpass. The first few times I used that SPUI was at night.

"URBAN OHIO" State license plate - Lets see your ideas
Isn't it a little "blasphemes" and ironic to have a "Support Light Rail" plate on a suburban-sprawl-causing, fossil-fuel-wasting, downtown-surface-parking-lot-needing car?
-
General Roads & Highway Discussion (History, etc)
Sounds almost as scary as making a left-turn movement at a SPUI (i.e. Sawmill/I-270). I hate being the first car at the light...much rather follow someone through the intersection!
