An evening walk through Galion
Very, very impressed! I wonder what it looked like before the Main Street Project and how much of a difference the Main Street program had.

Metro Columbus: Road & Highway News
The I-71/I-270 project is a go and will look similar to the SR-161/I-270 interchange when finished. My company put in a proposal to do the project but we didn't win the bid. Columbus Monthly also said that the Sullivant Ave./Demorest Rd. improvement project would be constructed this year which is great news for me. That was the first project I ever worked on when I graduated from OSU in 1999. The planning for that project started in 1994, but was delayed because of all the hoopla surrounding the city's curb ramp standards. It seemed like they came out with a new curb ramp standard every month back then.

This is Toledo?
That's good news! The Anthony Wayne bridge is definitly a landmark....it always impressed me when I saw it from I-75 at night.

This is Toledo?

Bowling Green & Findlay, briefly...
Findlay calls itself "Flag City, USA" so where are all the flags. I saw a few in the pics, but I was expecting flags all along the main street. Both cities look very nice. Bowling Green's downtown looks it benefits nicely from its close proximity to BGSU. Is UF near downtown Findlay?

I can't wait to see a picture taken from the same vantage point once the new bridge is done.

Columbus Blue Jackets Discussion
It's very easy. They started a new promotion this year where you can buy $10 dollar tickets starting two hours before the game. I did that for a Sunday game against the LA Kings and it wasn't a bad deal.

The Ohio State University Buckeyes Football Discussion
I'd love to see West Virginia University join the Big Ten. I think PSU and WVU wold be a good little rivalry since Morgantown is close to PA. BTW, did you know that Joe Pa in Russian means bullshit? It's spelled differently of course, but my Russian co-worker always gets a kick out of hearing the sports commentator say Joe Pa on TV, lol.

The Ohio State University Buckeyes Football Discussion
true, but until we have a conference championship game we have to live with stuff like "Co-Champions" PSU's victory over OSU got them the automatic BCS bowl bid. If PSU wanted to be the sole Big Ten Champs they should have beat Michigan :-D When OSU won the national championship in 2002 we were only the Co-Champs of the Big Ten with Iowa even though we had a perfect record (Iowa lost one non-conference game, but won all their Big Ten games).

Show a pic of yourself!
LOL, I didn't mean to start a UC vs. OSU vs. CWRU vs. Etc. argument. My post was meant as a joke (although every bit of it is true). :-D

Show a pic of yourself!
The Ohio State University is the best school in the state and is located in the best city in the state.* *Bias opinion of an Ohio State alumnus who resides in Columbus.

Columbus: Children's Hospital Projects
JohnOSU99 replied to CMH_Downtown's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionThey have a fly-over video for the Children's Hospital expansion on 10tv.com and it looks great! It's good to hear that they are expanding their downtown site and not opting for a suburban hospital campus somewhere in southern Delaware County (hint, hint CSCC).
