Columbus: Subway Sandwich "Artists"
I actually work close to this subway and I hate subway so I never ate there but I have co workers that eat there regualrly. I didn't mean to laugh at them but the look on their faces after they heard this story was absolutely priceless and I almost died laughing. Pretty F'd up situation though

Ohio Sundown Towns
Growing up in Columbus and my father and his side of the family from Cincy, we traveled up and down 71 a lot. And I can remember my dad and my grandparents always telling me to stay away from Lebanon. I really don't know the whole story but my grandparents were harrassed by some locals a long time ago and it happened again when my father was in his 30s. So whenever I go down to Cincy, I would always never get off on those exits out of fear. Then one of my clients from Grove City passed away and guess where the funeral was.......South Lebanon. I was so nervous and I almost didn't attend the funeral because of that 'fear'. But another (black) co worker and I went down and I was pretty surprised, everybody was super friendly (we got a lot of stares) but almost everybody greeted us with real smiles and we didn't have any issues. Although there still may be racists people in Lebanon, there are racists people everywhere and the situations that happened in the past need not dictate how I approach situations today. Sorry for writing a book lol

Gary, Indiana
I drove through here a few weeks ago on my way to see my brother in Kenosha, WI and it was almost like a really dark cloud was over my car the entire time and I was on the skyway. My wife even noticed it. These pics make me sad to see such a booming city (back in the day) falling apart like this. I thought East STL was bad....this place might be worse

If you could relocate away from Ohio tomorrow...
Well, if you count US territories I will have to go with Old San Juan. My parents just recently retired and relocated to Puerto Rico and I love that place. I don't speak any Spanish (trying to learn) but I am trying to convince my wife to move there one day soon. I really love everything about PR! D.C. comes in a close second place

Jefferson City, MO
I just recently drove thru this city on my way to the Ozarks and was pretty shocked at the amount of people and buildings they had downtown (I was thinking small town) I didn't take a tour or anything but great pics!

Columbus: Scioto Mile Riverfront Park News
This was the first time in a long time I had so much fun in downtown Columbus for the Arts Festival. My in-laws were in town from STL and they were in shock at how much downtown C.O. has changed in the last 5 years. Keep it up Columbus, we are making great progress!

Columbus: Downtown: Highpoint / Columbus Commons
After looking at Walker's pics (nice pics BTW), I am looking forward to seeing what they do with this area during Red, White, and Boom. Also does anybody know if they are moving the Rib Fest back to this side of downtown or are they keeping it at the Arena District?

Columbus: Hollywood Casino
At first, I was upset that Columbus didn't want the casino in AD because I thought it would be the perfect venue to bring traffic downtown but after reading Walker's response, I'm glad I voted for Issue 2.

Southern Orchards, Columbus
:applause: for Columbusite because I have a few family members who live over in the area and I don't even like going to visit because there is always 'something' going on. I hope you carry a gun and a vest when you venture into those areas of C.O.

Columbus: Hollywood Casino
The additional housing and retailers downtown is a great idea and I'm all for it but I don't buy that's the reason why they wanted the Casino moved from the Arena District. Casino's have always had the stereotype of being 'bad' and brings lots of crime to the area (especially in Columbus) and I think its B.S. that all of a sudden its okay to put it on the Westside because we all know the 'westside' is already run down and crime infested so now a casino can help revive that area of Columbus  Rant over!
