I have so rarely been to any of them, but I recall Germantown being nice, pretty much for the reasons Jeff stated. Riverscape is of a different character of course, but it's of the MetroParks and is cool in its way.

I'd be a terrible host to a visitor... I just don't know what things to show people or do with them! Touring the city and taking photos of architecture and things is great for UrbanOhio people, but I suspect that most people are not so interested in that. Anyway, I thought it would be good if people could list what they think are the must-see/must-do things in their city/region/whatever for a visitor who might be there for just a couple of days. I'd love to be able to refer to this thread and actually have a response if someone were to say to me: "I'm going to Columbus next weekend. You're from Ohio... tell me what I should do there!" For Dayton: Air Force Museum The "Aviation Heritage" sites Take at least a quick look at downtown/Riverscape stuff Maybe go to Yellow Springs? I'm sure there are some other things that might be high priority.

One time I was on a flight Detroit to Dayton, and as we were getting ready to depart it was announced that we were going to have to switch planes with a flight to Toledo. The plane for Toledo flight was was apparently too big and fancy to land at Toledo!

...but change "ToolTown" to "TechTown" in Dayton.

Yup, might as well keep it in good condition. As an occasional visitor to Cincinnati the biggest annoyance this would cause me is not being able to walk across! As for the painting, there's a thread all about it, but for the record I like the present color.

Recently discovered that there are "bird's-eye" images available for Delaware, so here is an aerial picture of what I've been told is the oldest building in Delaware, built in 1821. (Obviously there have been additions.) Link This is, of course, the city of Delaware, Ohio that I'm talking about, not the state of Delaware, in case there's anyone out there who isn't aware of this town. :wink:

I think the skyscraper trio would be good. Whatever it is, the graphic has got to be simple enough so that people in the car behind you can tell what it is without crashing into you. I would stay away from the phrase "urban renewal" as that conjures up images of neighborhoods being torn down, at least for me. Personally I think just "Urban Ohio" for the text would be good. I'd offer my suggestion using the template, but the only thing I'm good at drawing is maps. :| Anyway, great idea! It may be a long time before you ever get 500 people and a congressman to support it, but I'd buy one!
