Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
For a second I thought that was in the PD, and I was like wow they had a change of heart all the sudden about this project. Than I saw the link. Good news, and just more reasons why the Mall site is the best.

Cleveland: Cleveland State University News & Info
"He was attracted to Cleveland State’s head post because the city has an opportunity to reinvent itself and because so many Floridians he talked to spoke highly of Cleveland. “The community needs to hold its head up high and be proud of what it has, be proud of where it’s going,” Dr. Berkman said." Why does everybody love this city so much except for the people that are here?

This is starting to embarass this city more than the Browns!

Cleveland: TV / Film Industry News
Yeah I saw that commercial, I like the gritty nature they show Cleveland in. I know it's not always the most complimentary scene, "rust belt" and all, but I think it is true Cleveland in many respects. Great press though for the city, you have to think people round the world only know of Cleveland because of "King James".

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
Between this and the news of the White Motor Site, sounds like this area might be getting ready for something. It would be great to get all of this industrial nature stuff into a really struggling neighborhood due to the low density nature of this type of building. This would also help focus using the river/lake downtown towards it's best use. Here's to hoping!

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
I've been to LUXE quite a few times, and have generally liked everything except for a duck sandwich I got when I had the flu, it may have been the flu that caused that though. The one thing that is awesome is you can ask for the chef to make you a meal. It's totally random, you have to order it for at least two people, and it comes with a salad or app., main course, and a desert. If you're willing to take a risk it's worth it, or at least it was this time. They got some sort of beef flank steak on top of these amazing potatoes and some other mixed vegetables. It was a little pricier but for what they got it was the best deal on the table. Their salad that they got was also phenomenal.

that's probably because the PD takes everything they say and twists it to screw them. I would work around the PD if I had to deal with that crap also. And I'm sure the PD couldn't give two craps about that letter, and won't print it because it has positive notations about this city.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
It is that bad. And I've already noticed that bus drivers are now not using their turn signals, or turning them on at the last second, so that these things are less annoying. So this pilot is not going to be saving any lives. Busses are going to get hit by cars not knowing they are turning.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
I was wondering the same thing, are they allowed to use my quote without my permission. What are the blog laws on that type of stuff? If I publically blog it does that mean it is public information at that point. Please somebody tell me i can sue the PD! :-D Also it said something about sending complaints to the RTA, anybody specific?

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Great, I say a million positive things about this city and the PD gets me complaining one time. Although if this possibly could get this to stop I'll take it. This is really ridiculous. If cars went around beeping there horns incessantly than they would get a noise violation ticket. Should I start calling the cops and have them pull over busses? I love the urban environment and have put up with the acceleration of busses from my corner for years, I knew this when I bought the place. But this is above and beyond just urban noise.

i think that is the point of him making the comment. JMasek?

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
I noticed this weekend that the busses are making a beeping noise when turning left now. Is this due to the accident on public square? And if so are you kidding me, this is amazingly annoying. I live on a corner of the street where these busses turn left, and this morning I was literally woken up ten times. Is this a permanent thing? Do i need to invest in ear plugs or what? Sorry for the moan, but I'm a little sleep deprived, thanks to the busses.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
A lot of times that is done in these types of homes because of accessibility requirements. Zero step entries are usually required to get funding. Sometimes they do them in the garages but a lot of times it's just the front door.

This thing begs to be LEED certified, it is basically just filling out the paperwork as it is a natural fit.

Moving to Cleveland: Detroit Shoreway, Ohio City Ideas
I live very near this neighborhood, a little further east on West 65th. I feel this area is o.k. but the further west you go from 65th the sketchier it gets. Personally after being in this hood for five years I would not buy too far from West 65th and actually would stay east of 65th. and definitely north of Bridge. I know a lot of people post this, but I would definitely rent before you buy, just to make sure that it's what you like. I love this hood and all the stuff that is coming so I would definitely recommend moving here, but the closer to 65th and detroit the better, in my opinion.

Cleveland Public Schools: News and Discussion
IS there any way they could spread this to people instead of just companies? I have two computers I could donate, not that old, and I'm sure that there are plenty of other people out there with the same situation. Does anybody have any direct contact info to somebody at one community? Otherwise I'll just send them a general email.

Cleveland: Little Italy: Development and News
The issue with the townhouses is that the first floor is predominantly taken up by garage and mechanical, not the type of thing you want a ton of windows into. It's nice if you can create an entry on a half level between the ground floor and the first floor to give some sense of relation to the pedestrian.

Cleveland: Local Media News & Discussion
Wow, that swelled up some serious civic pride there. It's great to see this, I wonder if there is any way of getting this pushed to more of a front page type of thing. Was this in the actual hardcopy of the paper or just online?

Cleveland: Local Media News & Discussion
Bottom line nothing. They are being fired, there is a humane and inhumane way to do it. Oh just wait around at home and we'll tell you whether or not to come in, this way I don't have to look you in the eye and do it. It's not that they are being fired, that is the bottom line, but the way they are going about it that is so PD'esque.

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
PLJ or Fred Nance (can't remember which) was on Lannigan and Malone earlier in the week. He said look for a site selection within weeks. Not months, weeks, he emphasized this. Lannigan said they would call him in a couple of weeks if nothing is decided. Hope it wasn't just lawyer speak.

Cleveland: Port Authority News & Info
I have a point for discussion/question. Hasn't the port authority been touting themselves as this agent for change by funding/loaning funds for important development projects. With all these projects now being shelved, for the indeterminate future, isn't this their prime opportunity to come in and "save the day". The breuer tower project said they were looking at union backed funding, why can't some fancy funding come from the port authority?
