Cincinnati Reds Discussion
Glad to see Price move on from their traditional lineup of Votto batting 3rd. Will be interesting to see how the new SP's do throughout the season. It's hard for me to get too excited about the Reds especially with how competitive the Central is this year.

We need another bat but I don't see it happening.

So, apparently Matt Kemp (and his $20 million/year contract which runs thru 2019) might be available from the Dodgers. And LA could use a veteran 2B. But Kemp's contract and injury history are scary. Dodgers apparently shot that one down as well. Story is near bottom of page. Seems like they can't find anyone willing to take Phillips. http://nypost.com/2013/12/12/texas-rangers-insist-adding-russell-wilson-not-a-publicity-stunt/

It will be interesting to see if they do anything with Homer Bailey also. Either way, Jocketty still needs an offensive upgrade.

Cincinnati Bengals Discussion
They can beat Green Bay and New England, but not the Browns. I have mixed emotions about this team right now. Defense is great but they need to figure out who they are offensively.

Cincinnati Reds Discussion
I would almost rather see them not make the playoffs than be one and done like the past few years. I think everyone is just tired of being let down, especially after last year.

Cincinnati Reds Discussion
Reds are rumored to be in the midst of a 3 team trade with the Indians and Diamondbacks. Stubbs and Gregorious would go to Cleveland for Choo so they could deal Cabrera. Sucks he may only be a one year rental but his offense would be a huge upgrade over Stubbs.

University of Cincinnati Bearcats Football Discussion
Tuberville has said in the past that he wants to get back into the SEC. He is probably going to use UC as a stepping stone and bolt after 3 to 4 years if he has success.

Cincinnati Reds Discussion
With Dusty returning and the team largely unchanged, I see disappointment looming again for 2013. I was hoping they would have tried to make a run for Bourn or Span, but Chapman possibly coming to the rotation and Votto being 100 percent will help out a lot. I don't see Stubbs having some magical break out year that would solve the lead off problems.

The Reds start the playoffs on saturday against the Giants. Washington got the #1 seed but i'm content with #2. The Nationals will have to play either St Louis or Atlanta and neither team will be easy.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Fort Washington Way Cap
There was a story about the caps on Fox 19 last night. Nothing spectacular, but one "concern" was that drivers would lose the view of the buildings lol.

Cincinnati Reds Discussion
Well the Reds got Jonathon Broxton from the Royals today. It wasn't what I expected, but a solid move at the least. They released Brackman and put Bray on the DL again. I was hoping they were going to turn around and flip him in a package for Denard Span but i'm sure the asking price was outrageous.

I found this on the internet today. You have to admit it is pretty funny.

Saw on the news earlier that Covington has some new plans for their riverfront. Imagine that.

Stuck in Ohio or Content?
I'm content in Ohio. I always get the itch to leave but everytime I do something lures me back. Traveling recharges my batteries and keeps me happy. I grew up in a small town and nothing could replace the friends and family that I have here in Ohio. The only big cities in the state that I would be content with is Cincinnati and Cleveland. Although I didn't get to see much of Cleveland when I traveled there for the first time this past summer, it stuck on me for some reason. I hate the suburbs of Cincy so downtown would be ideal for me if I moved.

I'm not sure if Latos is worth giving up four players but I guess we will find out soon. He had a great ERA away from Petco so thats a good sign. I just hope this trade doesn't turn out like the Volquez/Hamilton of a few years back. Even though maturity has been an issue, if he can pitch well at Great American Small Park the Reds will have a decent rotation. Cueto, Latos, Bailey, Arroyo, and Leake would be pretty nice if Bailey continues to improve and stay healthy. If not they have Wood, LeCure, ??? to step in. They still have positions to fill in LF and closer so it will be interesting to see what they do. I wouldn't be surprised if they fill the holes from within the organizations. Interest has cooled on Cordero so who knows we may see him back even though I hate to say it.

CLEVELAND - celebrating Summer Solstice
I visited Cleveland for the first time this weekend and I was very impressed. The girlfriend and I were at Edgewater park for a few minutes but unfortunately a storm came and we decided to leave. We did go to the Rock and Roll HOF and Greak Lakes Brewing Co though. It was a short weekend but I definitely plan on going back so I can explore more.

Petersburg, KY: Creation Museum: Development and News
I wasn't really sure what to expect before I visited. I'm a big history buff so to speak and I was impressed. Whoever built the place did their homework to make it a legit historic museum about the Bible. Even if one isn't about God, religion, or whatever the history aspect of the musuem makes it worth visiting IMO.

Petersburg, KY: Creation Museum: Development and News
I've been to the creation museum once and plan on going back. It was bigger than I expected and didn't have enough time to check everything out. I don't see what is so bad about the place.
