Yeah, tell me about it. It's so frustrating starting off the road trip on fire and then coming to Philly and lose-blow close games against a team who are crippled with injuries. At least we didn't lose good prospects in trading for a Cliff Lee rental. I would've been highly ticked. As of right now what is everyones opinion on Dusty Baker? Should he come back next season or get the boot?
  2. It's too bad they didn't enclose the tiara and add a ballroom or something like that at the top. I think somebody had mentioned that idea quite while ago but after viewing those photos from urbancincy I think it would've been a great idea. Heck at least an observation deck.

After Vottos 2 homers against the Mets tonight he leads the NL in homeruns. I'm going to be highly upset if he doesn't make the All Star. I really dont think Cliff Lee coming to cincy would be a good thing. We would have to give up too many good prospects. Our pitching roster is already loaded so there's really no need to go out and get Cliff Lee.

Man I agree with your previous post about leaving the pitcher in for 3 innings. Dusty makes some questionable calls sometimes. On the other hand the 1st place reds have the best record in the national league, 2nd best in MLB, and has the best batting average. 10 games over 500 for the first time in 4 years. Really exciting team. Hopefully the 12-2 blowout in front of a big crowd will draw more people to the games.

Our pitching has really come around lets hope it stays that way! Complete games from Cueto, Bailey, and Arroyo within the past week.

Yeah he sure did. Great win tonight hopefully they can get the lead tomorrow.

He probably took something to help his injury. It sucks because the Reds will probably need him around the time he comes off the DL...especially with the way the SP has been.
  8. They couldve razed a few blocks of OTR so the stadium could have an opening view to the city!

They definitely have the talent this year. Hopefully the offense they displayed in the game today will carry on throughout the season. Unfortunately Masset didn't show up with his A game in the 9th otherwise the reds probably wouldve won.

I'm glad Kentucky lost. Maybe now I wont have to hear so much about them.
  11. Everywhere I go in the Cincinnati/NKY area all I see are Kroger, Target, and Chipotles. I'm so sick of seeing them.
  12. Wow those guys are crazy. At least they took some awesome pics.

The Reds have the potential for a pretty mean starting rotation if/when Chapman, Leake, and Wood become ready for the majors. They have also signed free agent SS/2B Orlando Cabrera. Today a trade was announced sending Adam Rosales and Willy Taveras to the Athletics for IF Aaron Miles. Watching Rosales was entertaining but i'm happy to see Taveras go. Hopefully Miles can bounce back from his rut. Edit: Taveras was designated for assignment by the Athletics right after he was acquired. Guess they didn't really want him either lol.
  14. What teams have done in the past shouldn't be used to measure how great a team or franchise is. What matters is what they are doing now. In the past decade both teams are about even when it comes to success, like edale said. By the way Ochocinco was named to the pro bowl.
  15. Good point edale

If i was emporer of the world I would ban cops from issuing speeding stickets. I got one here a while back but never paid it or showed up to the court date. Got a friend who works for a local PD to look up my record but no warrants were issued yet. Jersey cops are notorious for handing out tickets. If it wasn't for a military ID I would've lost my driving privileges a long time ago!
  17. The Browns were good at one time?

Raised in Adams County Ohio and now live in Maysville, KY. Stayed around the general area for the most part with the exception of a couple years spent in Jersey with the AF. Hopefully will be moving as close to downtown Cincy as possible.

I know what you are goin through. My girlfriend just found out she had Celiac a couple weeks ago. It's a pain when we want to go out for dinner. It doesn't help that most gluten free foods are expensive.
  20. I highly doubt Tebow is going to do anything in the NFL. Especially if he gets a chance the play the Steelers. They'll just hurt him like they do to all the other QB's. Anyways it was an ugly game and I turned it off after the 1st quarter. There's always next year!
  21. I've never had a reason to go to Cleveland but after viewing this thread I may have to take a road trip to see the Reds this summer.
  22. If Odom wouldn't have gotten hurt this year there's no doubt he'd be on the team. I sure hope the offense wakes up during the playoffs. If not then our D has a lot of work to do to keep us from getting sent home early.
  23. The place is definitely ugly. Traffic around the area is horrible also.

I've been wanting to go to Redsfest for the past couple years but havent found time to go. Looks like we will pretty much have the same team as last year with a few minor departures like Nix and McDonald.
  25. The Kelly and ND rumors are gonna fly around like crazy. Kelly did say that he was going to "entertain" talks with ND but I hope he stays where he is. It was a sloppy game today but they did win and thats all that matters. Now we need Texas to lose.
