Dayton: Wright-Dunbar / Westside: Development and News
This is really good news for West Dayton. Hopefully it works better than the Gem City Market.

Dayton: Random Development and News
This is fantastic news for the Dayton area. I was in one of their stores in Tennessee and it was great. It was so busy it took 20 minutes from the time I got on the exit ramp until I got into the store, even though (like the proposed HH one) it was located right off the exit ramp.

Fantastic news...there are now 3 hotels under construction or planned for downtown...this, AC by Mendelson's and the Tapestry in the Barcley Building.

Dayton: University of Dayton / University Park: Development and News
I agree. As a UD alumni I am disappointed with what they are doing with the old NCR property. They are turning it all into a suburban office park design. At least OnMain looks like it will be a dense urban style development.

Dayton: Restaurant News & Info
PhillyEngineer replied to New Orleans Lady's post in a topic in Restaurants, Local Events, & EntertainmentIt would be great if the new Winans added ice cream. I realize they don't make ice cream but it would go nicely with thier candy.

Dayton: Webster Station: Development and News
It's amazing to see all the transformation in the Water Street District.

Dayton: Wright-Dunbar / Westside: Development and News
It's really great to see Wright-Dunbar finally get some attention. With this, the Food Hall, the coffee house. etc., I always though West 3rd could be like East 5th in the Oregon District. The next thing that needs to happen is a development with some office workers to provide some activity during the workday.

Dayton: Webster Station: Development and News
It's amazing how much downtown Dayton is improving. In the 90's I worked in the building that Miller Valentine just moved into. That area was dead at night time. Great to see it come to life.

Dayton: Historic Photos
Here is a picture of a graphic made of the Dayton area in 1987...hanging on the wall in one my bedrooms. It was part of a series of drawings of cities across the country. Sorry for some glare in the picture.

They actually seem to be getting this right. Love the buildings at the back of the sidewalks along Main & Stewart.

I hope the redevelopment is done right. Between this and the ghost town that is Northwest Plaza, this section of Dayton is in big trouble.

Dayton: St. Anne's Hill / Huffman / Eastside: Development and News
There was a proposal about 10 years ago to build some infill along the south side of 5th in front of the Dayton Towers building to try an enliven that stretch. With all of the activity happening further east, maybe that proposal will come back.

Dayton: St. Anne's Hill / Huffman / Eastside: Development and News
Yes - Anticoli's moved a lot. They started on East 5th, then moved to Salem Avenue (across from the old Miracle Lane Shopping Center). I had my college graduation party there in 1988. As the Salem Avenue area began to decline they left and moved to Clayton. I think that was around 2000.
