How long have you been at your company?
I've been at my present job (retirement) for seven years, come the end of the month. Prior to that, I worked for Lincoln Financial for eight years and then got outsourced to IBM and hung on for another two years of abuse and degradation. Under the outsourcing contract, I was able to combine my Lincoln Financial and IBM service to count toward retirement. My longest tenure was at General Electric, 21 years.

Springfield, Ohio: Seat of Clark County
Quite imposing! I don't recall that I've ever been in downtown Springfield. It looks orderly and well-kept, with a fair number of impressive buildings.

Nice-looking little town. I don't know if I could stand the excitement of living there, though!- Cycling Advocacy
I like the idea of separating cycle tracks from traffic by creating a parking lane away from the curb. Some of the cities I've visited, like South Bend, Indiana, have major thoroughfares that are disconcertingly wide and make the downtown feel barren and pedestrian-unfriendly; that would be a creative solution that would make the area more attractive and more functional for a wider variety of transport modes.- Smithville

Summer fun, indeed! Looks like a great day. The dark-sky photos are pretty striking.- Fort Wayne (Part 2): West Central (Rob's Hood) - Up and Coming Neighborhood
A lot of intelligent, tasteful folks make this neighborhood home. Most of them tolerate me surprisingly well. :-) The 2007 Home & Garden Tour info is here.- Cleveland: Tow Path Trail in July 07
Excellent pics, looks like a fun day! The Towpath Trail has to be one of the great success stories in trail building, thanks largely to synergy with Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railway, the historic sites associated with the canal, Hale Farm ... The summer weekend crowds in and around Peninsula have to be experienced to be believed.- Fort Wayne (Part 2): West Central (Rob's Hood) - Up and Coming Neighborhood
The moves were joint efforts by West Central Neighborhood Association, local preservation group ARCH (Architecture and Community Heritage) and in some cases, corporate sponsors. After the houses were moved and set on new foundations and basements with essential utility connections, they were put up for sale to private owners, who completed the restorations. The two that were moved the greatest distance are both large brick structures, quite an accomplishment. There's a West Central Historic Home and Garden Tour in September that includes an arts fest at some backyard garden location, with local artists and musicians. Last year for the first time I was invited to take part, and did well selling photos. I plan to do it again this year.- Paris Pike and sunflower photographs
Beautiful photos! I traveled that road in autumn in the seventies with my parents and my brother and loved the scenery. I remember a glimpse of grand historic homes as we drove through Paris, too. I love the bright yellow sunflowers against the blue sky. I'm not sure, but your June Bug looks like it may be a Japanese Beetle.- Fort Wayne (Part 2): West Central (Rob's Hood) - Up and Coming Neighborhood
Nice job! It's always interesting to see someone else's view of familiar places. This house is another one that was moved from the other side of downtown to save it from demolition. If I remember correctly, there are four houses in the neighborhood that were relocated -- two from the East Central/downtown area, and two within the neighborhood. All were placed on lots that previously had been cleared for parking.- Troy, Ohio: Seat of Miami County
Sweet-looking town!- Leveque LUVS Terminal :: Show us your beauty shots!
Props to Chris on that nomination. PNC tower has a real classic design, and I've always liked the massive, strong-looking masonry at the base, too:- Old Sheldon Church Ruins
Beautiful photos. That's in pretty good condition for having been a ruin for so long; in the North, freeze-thaw cycles probably would have taken down most of it by now.- more Brugges, Belgium

Lots of historic character there, and some of Coshocton's buildings are pretty impressive. Scenes like these make me crave a revival of small-city downtowns.- The Dating Thread
If you mean top Louis, I think just about anybody could. Sorry. I just couldn't let that one pass.- Urban Ohio "Picture Of The Day"
Wonderful shots, hydrobond!- The Dating Thread
He's 23 !? He carries on like a 15-year-old sissy-boy. It's a good thing he kept his hands mostly still; I can just see those wrists flying when he gets excited.- The Dating Thread
Oh, girlfriend, Butch It Up! He could start being true to himself by admitting that what he really needs is a boyfriend, not a girlfriend. It'd take a pretty patient guy, though, to train him.- CLEVELAND - Fun and Sun!
