  1. They are gonna save the bear itself, right?
  2. We all know it is going to be high quality and look great...and BIG! lol.
  3. I can hardly believe there has been no more back and forth, speculation, etc. about the latest info dropped. It has like it has been completely forgotten. Then again it has been kind of dead 'round here lately...
  4. It does look rather huge compared to everything around it, and I love it!
  5. I remember now that JC Penney did have a second floor but it was not open to the public when I worked there. I also remember taking the elevator up to the second floor when I worked there in the 80's, so it definitely had at least a partial second floor.
  6. Lazarus was two floors. I remember getting in trouble for sliding down the rails of the escalator as a kid.
  7. I should hunt you down for that blasphemous, slanderous, outrageous musing! I agree it is a fine line. Just enough to hit 100 meters(for me)would be ideal. And I realize it is a fine line so I would like it to happen- if they can make it happen. And it is only 6 floors or maybe 100 meters total to the tallest section-not too radical. Not like I am calling for the 1,000 foot thing that would have an UO penthouse or anything. I am overall very pleased with the plan. Jman???? the scandalous nature of that question will never be forgotten!/s
  8. It is only six floors but it is enough to make a difference IMO. And yes to any additional tower. Two twenty plus could be a 30 floor and an 18-20 floor. Once it is built it is done and no do-overs and I think they need to make a statement. Other than that I am all for it. I am thinking it has to have the height and visual impact of at least Miranova(but not that south side!) to clearly be the anchor that shows this is the west side of downtown, not another district outside of it. JMHO. Overall very happy to see movement like this! *like everyone else, wondering... ...what will the grocery be? ...what is coming for THE TRIANGLE AT SCIOTO PENINSULA? Another triangle to speculate about. *I love the large impressive multi-use event space concept. I love it too much lol.
  9. ????? is this based on hope, insider info, nebulous plans...what? Not fair lol
  10. Add a floor of parking or something, push the tower up another 6 floors and I am good with it. They really would be shortsighted to lowball the tower. It needs to send a message that is as strong as possible about height along with density. Now lets get it going!
  11. ^^Thanks for the post-I was wondering about this. Are they market rate?
  12. Toddguy replied to zaceman's post in a topic in Ohio Politics
If this passes I am dressing in drag and performing at Broad and High. I swear to God/Allah I have my mind set on a pink sparkly burka minidress with slutty purple shoes....and Divine-esque hair and makeup. F$#$ this sh$#!
  13. That would also drive a stake in the Wolfe family heart so I am for it.
  14. But they also talk about being across from the statehouse at their new location blah blah. How can both be true? How can they "cover our leaders with prayer" if they are gonna sell the building?
  15. Now there is nothing wrong with pushing for some decent height and design on new dorms. We can agree on that. These two towers along with the Rhodes Tower are my most hated buildings in the city. And the ceilings are pretty low. They are about 265 feet tall to the architectural top-and 26 floors.
  16. Blow. Them. Up. They are the true monstrosities of the OSU campus. Their height only makes their patent ugliness more striking and noticeable.
  17. No you are not the only one, but the new addition is not the dated part-that ugly first addition is the eyesore. And it was horizontal stripes for the office parks/buildings of the 80's-The twin uglies south of the statehouse can attest to that. The new building is monumental and striking, not monstrous or dated. So you are not alone-in your wrongness lol. There are others with the same wrong opinion. ;)
  18. YES! I cannot wait...I hope they implode those pieces of #$%#!
  19. Maybe not that exactly, but something along the lines would be great because God knows we need more greenery of any kind downtown.
  20. There is a row of buildings between it and Cleveland. Cleveland is on the extreme left of the diagram going north/south. It comes up north from Ferris behind those structures. Not an ideal location and I agree they could have done more with it as you stated.
  21. Well they are set back half a block from Cleveland so they are not right on it, but yeah they could have done something more with the site-as is the case with a lot of infill.
  22. I love it and they really had no choice but to have the split in the middle and the vertical columns in the fenestration. If not it would be ridiculously wide and fat. I will acknowledge that it looks the least good from the east as compared to this great view from 315. Can't wait to see it finished.
