    The developers are renovating these for a major loss. The only reason they weren't bulldozed to begin with was because the city told them that they had to renovate them if they wanted to build the newer townhomes. Thankfully it's one of the few times the city actually took a stance on its urban history. And it's a good thing too because in the 80's plans were created to bulldoze the entire neighborhood for light industry. Thankfully that didn't happen and now we'll have these beauties for hopefully a very long time.

    BTW, I'm curious as to way they seemed to have used a completely different kind of brick for all of these houses. You can tell where all the brick had to be replaced because the old brick is a bright red color while the new brick is a lighter red mixed with browns.

    A couple of comparisons: Before: After: Before: After: This shows that just about anything in Brush Park can be rehabilitated. Maybe even slumpy, or whatever his name is.;)
