Shot this outside a blues club in Phoenix. This dude was dancing around and filming the band with his camcorder. All while on roller skates. Edit - had to delete pic. guess I can't just post from my phone as the image is over sized!

Agreed - hopefully we will see more "real time" phone pics from people (e.g. walking by some development and snapping a few pics from phone and uploading to UO instantly). I kind of hate the step of uploading to 3rd party website if I just want to post a pic or two.

I've increased it to 1.2mb per uploaded picture. Awesome - thanks richNcincy[/member] !

Ok maybe this is a server issue, but we really need to consider updating the max size to upload a photo. I can't even upload a photo taken with my phone. Come on UO, you're stifling me! Ha.

Without wifi, when you have that many people in such close proximity, you can jam the cell networks. I've had trouble texting people inside stadiums and forget about sending a picture message. Also, at football games, I need the ability to easily check my fantasy football teams!
  6. ^ Did they actually purchase it or do they have an option to purchase it?

I don't have any kids, but I have several nieces and nephews in the CHUH school district and my siblings all seem happy with it. That said, to some, it does matter what school in the district. My siblings kids all go to Roxboro, Fairfax, or Canterbury elementary schools and Roxboro middle.
  8. Is the downtown Winking Lizard closing? I was downtown earlier and there was a sign in a window across the street on Prospect from whoever is in the building - Ohio Medical Mutual? Mutual Medical? Something like that. Anyway, the sign said something along the lines of "Winking Lizard please stay" or "Winking Lizard please come back." Something like that.
  9. Can Special Improvement Districts (SIDs) be created in the city of Cleveland?

Welcome Michelle! If you want to go into abandoned buildings, you will have to break the law. Even the most vacant decaying building is technically private property, so you'd be trespassing. I don't have anything that I have my eye on right now to check out, plus it's too cold right now. I agree with MayDay[/member] that amusemymuse is a great follow on Instagram. She absolutely kills it - and does terrifying things! I'd recommend following igers_cleveland on Instagram too. They organize meet ups to take pictures - nothing illegal, so no urban exploring as a group.
  11. Agreed on name. They should just keep Garfield - saying "The Garfield" has nice classic, historic feel to it.

Nice shots Sherman! I was literally going to start a Randall thread tonight. In any event, here are a few to add to Sherman's.
  13. Welcome! Nice shots!
  14. Try http://www.clevelandhabitat.org/80-2/ No dice, thanks though. Looks like I will need to try some scrap yards.
  15. Good thing MJM got the scoop on this one. She'd have lost some street cred around here if someone beat her to a RE story involving the PD! ha
  16. Anyone know where I can buy used radiators in Cleveland?
  17. Here’s Why We Don’t Know Much about Tamir Rice December 2, 2014 by aoscruggs Coverage of Tamir Rice Shooting Exposes Rift Between Plain Dealer and Cleveland.com It’s been more than a week since police fatally shot 12-year-old Tamir Rice, but the public knows almost nothing about his friends, his hobbies, his personality – nothing about him. And, until last night, we didn’t know anything about the police officer who killed him either. If ever a profile of Tamir ever gets published will largely be determined by the relationship between Cleveland’s newspaper, The Plain Dealer, and the digital company, the Northeast Ohio Media Group. Despite sharing the cleveland.com platform, the print and digital companies are separate entities. Both, however, are owned by Advance Newspapers. http://alldigitocracy.org/tamir-rice-shooting-exposes-rift-between-plain-dealer-and-cleveland-dot-com/
  18. Ha, thanks! I'm trying. Still a long way to go, so if anyone wants to make a tax deductible donation.........

I REALLY wish there was heat on in the bank owned house I'm buying.......
  21. I was trying to sell my house in Cleveland Heights by owner, without much luck. As we are in a pretty bad time of the year for selling, I'm thinking I'll try and rent it out (not that the rental market would be super hot right not either). I just listed it on Case's off-campus housing site, but does anyone know where else I should list it? Any experience on craigslist? I haven't listed it there yet as I am somewhat skittish after hearing so many craigslist horror stories.

That's it, thanks! For some reason I didn't look under business and economy.

Don't we have a thread for discussion related to personal investment property issues for people on this board? I'm looking to rent out my house and I had a few questions but can't find the thread.

You get used to it. I actually kind of like it (at least until January, then I'm over it). I don't mind the snow, just bitter cold and gray skies. My only complaint is I could've used one more nice weekend to finish leaf clean up. I have a Bernese Mountain Dog and she couldn't be happier today.
  25. Completely disagree. As a resident of CH, this is a welcome article. And judging by the amount of times my CH friends have shared it, most tend to agree with me. I don't think it's a laugh out loud article, but I think it is a great call out on the coverage of PD and NEOMG.
