Ohio Voting / Voter ID Law
I actually missed first election in probably 10 years - mostly because I'm an idiot and forgot I had an early flight that day so I didn't have time. It's too bad, I would have actually voted for a republican for county exec.

Cleveland Heights: Development and News
While not cleveland proper, I have just started a gofundme for streetscape improvements in the Cedar/Taylor neighborhood of Cleveland Heights and University Heights. I am board president of the Cedar Taylor Development Association and we have CDBG funds coming from the city, but we need to raise some matching funds as well. Please consider a donation. http://www.gofundme.com/cedartaylor

Cleveland Browns Discussion
Remember that we also played Baltimore extremely tight; they beat us by two on a last-second field goal. Cleveland's two losses this season (including one to Pittsburgh) are by a total of five points (though of course, before this game, their two wins were by a total of three points). Our next three games are against teams with a combined record of 1-16(!), but in the immortal words of Han Solo, "Great, kid! Don't get cocky." I prefer the immortal words of winston wolf "well let's not start xxxxxxx xxxx xxxxx'x xxxxx quite yet"

Glass Block is Terrible
Ouch. This house looks like an urban transformer station, sans electricity. On the market, it's open tomorrow. 2424 Stratford Road, Cleveland Heights http://www.howardhanna.com/property/property.asp?PRM_MlsNumber=3658513&PRM_MlsName=NorthernOH The glass block is terrible but those mid century modern features are fabulous! The property has good bones, but doesn't show well. Plus, there are lots of upgrades to be done. This property has potential. Even as a historic home, I don't think it's work 299k. I wouldn't pay more than 225k. I would love to buy this as an investment property. Agreed, if all the glass block was replaced with floor to ceiling windows, that would be pretty great. It looks like someone last bought this in March 2013 for $138,000. I'm assuming they upgraded the kitchen, baths, and put in new carpet. $299k is too much if you ask me.

Cleveland: Suburban Crime & Safety Discussion
Why do you imply this was to be expected? (honest question) Coming from KJP, I read it as the coverage from Cleveland.com was to be expected, not the crime itself. The fact there there are so many questions here makes it clear, that this was not clear! I don't care who it's coming from. This is a message board, sarcasm doesn't come across in text unless indicated. As far as I can tell he is 100% serious and should take his commentary to cleveland.com with all the other losers. Bingo. This witch hunt by cleveland.com can do serious damage to the city and as someone who is actively involved in making CH a better place, it infuriates me.

Ouch. This house looks like an urban transformer station, sans electricity. The house has a sign out front that says coming soon for sale. I swear - this house has changed hands like 3 times over the past 5 years.

The whole PD/NEOMG thing is stupid to me. It's all PD as far as I'm concerned. They are both owned by the same parent company, right?

Cleveland: Local Media News & Discussion
Yeah, not worth reporting like this. This was on the FRONT PAGE of Cleveland.com today. As you guys have indicated though, there are a lot of comments here, some of which are having the same discussion as us. Cleveland: Local Media News & Discussion
does cleveland.com have some sort of system where they post user specific stories based on previous clicks? if not, why do they report so many crimes in cleveland heights? maybe it's just because i live there, but it seems they post stories about crime in cleveland heights much more often than other suburbs. or i guess there is zero crime in other suburbs?

Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
Did you Google it like I suggested? I did even though I really don't care how big the Celebrezze Federal Building is. It appears the best, most reliable result is this one: https://www.fbo.gov/?s=opportunity&mode=form&tab=core&id=b2bcf09cb4c57126f4d98b38e711addc&_cview=0 It says: "The total building gross square footage is approximately 1,462,628 square feet; this includes the two basement levels and the 32 floors above grade." 34 floors (incl basement levels) would be floorplates of 43,000 sf. That can't be right.

Re: Key - they took those numbers straight from the CoStar database. While it is a great database for RE professionals, the data isn't always accurate. It's only as accurate as what owners and brokers are willing to disclose. Also, one way you can have high occupancy % but a lot of space available for lease is it there is sublease space available. EDIT: I checked - that space is available next year. I assume it's the space Key is giving back. So technically it is leased today, but it is also available for lease.

Cleveland: TV / Film Industry News
Just looked it up as I remember Seth Green was in it. It's Airborne and you are right, it was rollerblading. I remember a scene where they go down Ravine (I lived on that street in college) and when they get to the bottom, they take a turn that was in a completely different part of Cincy.

Yes, always such a nice commute downtown. But all movies do that - The old skateboarding movie in Cincy most certainly DID NOT accurately convey skating to downtown.

If anyone knows someone who is interested in Cleveland Heights, I am selling my current home. It's a 3 bed 1 bath house with a large kitchen, nice deck, and huge back yard. Is it OK for me to post this? https://cleveland.craigslist.org/reo/4629104686.html
