Crazy flying stories....
Wow, great story Cleburger. I travel a fair amount, probably 15 trips a year. Luckily, I haven't had anything too crazy besides the occassional missed flight or dead sprint through an airport. I did have a rough flight into Spokane, WA a couple years ago. Rough enough that the flight attendandts never did a final walk through because the captain told them to take their seats and they told us to just put garbage in seat backs. We hit the ground pretty hard - not like we needed any emergency response or anything, but it's kinda scary having severe turbluence on the entire descent.

Best Movies Ever Made?
I didn't know who Robert Loggia was until you said that. I guessed who it was right away when you said that.

I thought it said Ohio too, but you're probably right.

Best Movies Ever Made?
Well I'm not hating on jackie brown - just saying that it's his worst movie, but his worst movie is better than a lot of people's best movies.

Cincinnati: University of Cincinnati News & Info
As an alum, I'm liking our new president. Ono set for sophomore year Students feel connected to UC's energetic president Santa Ono talks like a man who has free time. He owns a tropical fish tank. He’s picking up his cello again and wants to read Oscar Robertson’s autobiography. He listens to the rapper Macklemore and says his teenage daughters “think it’s pretty cool.” He says he wants to learn how to play – we are not making this up – the ukulele. http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20130827/NEWS0102/308270022/Ono-set-for-sophomore-year

2013 Instagrammed (So Far)
nice work! Anyone say anything to you about that casino shot? I was in a casino in Iowa and security was all over me for taking a picture.

All these compliments are makings uncomfortable! Ha. Kidding and I didn't mean to turn this into me - I'm just as guilty about not commenting on the great work the rest of you guys do.

Not that I'm fishing for likes, but I agree - I've posted pics I thought were pretty rad in the past only to get no comments. Def makes me post less pics. On that note - I have a new website - www.kevinsmithphoto.com (scroll down) actually your pics are excellent, but weren't you going to do an entire thread of photos from a recent NYC trip? I was actually looking forward to that (I hope I'm not confusing you with someone else--talk about adding insult to injury--lol) I stopped doing photothreads a year ago after my one for the Bastille Day celebration in NY. I believe I got exactly one comment--from ColDayMan--and I think he was just being nice. I happened to be very proud of those pictures--not that I'm fishing either! (frankly, in my case, I think its just snobbery against the point-n-shoot crowd ) I try to comment on all photographer's threads because I can appreciate the work people do to bring these threads to life. It isn't that I'm "being nice" (believe me, I'm not that nice!), it's just respect. Well I finally got my compliments! haha. I suppose I implied that I'm not posting photos anymore based on not getting many comments, that's not entirely true. Truthfully, probably what holds me back is the time and process of posting photos - with my mac I have to export the images so that I can capture my edits in Aperture, then upload to a website, then put them on here. Not that I'm telling any of you anything you don't know, but it can be time consuming. As far as NYC pics, I've posted some of them piecemeal on various threads I think, so I'm not sure if I'll do one dedicated thread.

Best Movies Ever Made?
I haven't heard of the majority of your directors, but I don't get any of these choices. Jackie Brown, while enjoyable, is quite possibly the worst Tarantino movie (not counting that grindhouse movie - I never saw that). Coppola has gotta be Godfather or Apocolypse Now. For Spike Lee, I'd put X, 25th Hour, Inside Man, and most importantly, Do the Right Thing over Get on the Bus. Obviously this is all subjective.

Best Movies Ever Made?
Best scene from Gangs of New York - Bill the Butcher talking about the only man he ever killed worth remembering - Dicaprio's father. I couldn't find the entire scene. I love at the very end (not shown in this youtube) when he says: "I never had a son. civilization is crumbing"

it says the event has "grown considerably" since we last hosted it so my guess is the NBA demands a higher number of rooms than last time.

I think you are giving a lot of credit to his people in that "the return" was planned before the decision even aired.

My guess is you were in the area looking for that old amusement park. Is it still standing? I heard it has been torn down.
