I'm always up for some exploring. I probably need to find some westside sites. Trust me, it can be scary and I never (well almost never) go by myself. Haha, yeah, Dale tagged all over this building. There were a ton of more spots that he tagged also.

scotdor is correct. There was a mailbox that still had paperwork in it that was dated 1988. The weird thing though is that there was a sign on a wall with a notice along the lines of cleaning out the refrigerator and it was dated 2007.

  8. Me too. And if the county's enabling legislation allows bidders to come back and up their initial bid, then that might be something the county would want to look at amending. While it's nice to get into a bidding war that benefits the taxpayers, I have to wonder when does a bidding war erupt between competitors merely because one is trying to block the other from succeeding and has no intention (or enough money) to actually follow through and do what they claim? Or everyone lowballs since they can just up their bid later once they find out what the high bid is.
  9. very nice shots sherman!

I know city budgets are pretty thin these days, but they prefer a master's degree, but will only pay $34,000?? I'm glad I'm in the private sector!

I don't enter contests often, but I have two email addresses - one for normal use with people I know and the other for all the crap that I buy or sign up for on the internet.

I second this! Third! Completely agree on the feeling of validation whenever he made a nice comment on my pics.

RIP. I always was excited to see his pictures on this site and always was interested in his personal take on experiences with life. After seeing so many of his pictures on this site it truly inspires me to be a better photographer.
  14. Next highest bid was 19 though The existing building may only be worth $16m, but when you add in a new 8 story building, the value is going to be much higher.
  15. 200 sf per person (which is high) x 450 = 90,000 sf / 8 floors = 11,250 sf floorplates. Not sure the site size, but I don't think 8 stories would be too small for this.
  16. Cuyahoga County to sell Ameritrust complex, lease new office back CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cuyahoga County government will move into part of the mothballed Ameritrust complex after all. County Executive Ed FitzGerald announced a deal today to sell the complex -- in which taxpayers have already sunk $45 million -- for $27 million to the Geis Co. Geis will demolish part of the complex, outdated office space commonly called the P & H buildings, to build an eight-story headquarters for the county to lease. http://www.cleveland.com/cuyahoga-county/index.ssf/2012/12/cuyahoga_county_to_sell_ameritrust_complex.html#incart_flyout_news
  17. Wow! Love it! Tommy Tuberville new Cincy coach http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/8726388/tommy-tuberville-leaves-texas-tech-raiders-become-coach-cincinnati-bearcats
  18. Completely disagree. Player's don't get paid (at least legally). Unfortunately, many of these guys have families that are relying on them to go pro. Plus, the majority of college football players do not play professionally after college.
  19. Yeah, you know all these guys preach committment and hard work, only to leave their players in the dust before the last game of the season. Brian Kelly, left before the Sugar Bowl!! The biggest game in these kids lives (most would never play in a bigger game) and he simply abandoned them. That's pretty cold.
  20. Like I said, he won't tell me! I bring it up because I'm frustrated I couldn't get it out of him!
  21. Ugh. I know someone who knows and he won't tell me!!! Not that I would disclose publicly if he did, but I want to know!!!

Are they apple external drives or a different brand?
  23. smith replied to a post in a topic in Urbanbar
Hey Mac users - do you use external hard drives? I have maxed out my macbook with pictures and now have zero room and my computer runs at a snails pace when I try to run Aperture. I assume putting most of my pictures onto an external drive will help me. I probably should just go and get something around 2 TBs. What about wireless drives? Any recommendations you guys can make?
