Ding! "That's correct! Tell him what he's won, Johnny." "Dinner for two at SoHo, on his in-laws!" ROFLMAO!! hahaha! I'll take it!
  2. Good review of Soho: http://clevelandmagazine.blogspot.com/2012/01/something-southern-on-west-side.html Here is a pic I took. Click on my blog for more: http://borncirca1979.blogspot.com/2012/01/evening-at-soho-kitchen-bar.html OC_068 by KP SMITH, on Flickr

Why would assume that instead of asking?? ?? ?? I dont understand this thought process. I asked - I can't remember exact reason, but something along the lines of the corp. office no longer allowed having the 2 entrances, I think for security reasons. Don't remember them saying much more beyond that or anything about actual theft. Shame, I liked that entrance to grab some quick booze. Then why didn't you say exactly the above the first time? This is a prime example of people writing one thing, when in fact there is another reason for X thing taking place. Check the names on the posts - I didn't write the first one. Didn't mean to confuse.

why do players you want to root for always end up playing for teams you hate? (e.g. Norris Cole)
  13. I only drive my Hummer H1 6 days a weeks instead of 7.
  14. I have no idea about the specifics of this situation, but don't spend millions assuming a liquor license is a formality. Have the license secured before spending money.

I can't comment in too much detail about either city, but I wouldn't say its a bad investment right off that bat just based on the cities. You make your money in real estate when you buy, not when you sell. So if you are buying these houses for the right price and you have a clear understanding of what you can rent them out for, then there is no reason that it has to be a bad investment. All that said - I personally wouldn't invest in those areas (not that I'd be 100% opposed to it). I prefer areas I know better - certain areas in the city of Cleveland, Heights area, Lakewood.

So I had to go back to the Westinghouse building to retake a pic, and it looked like there was some minor work that has happened. I didn't realize it until afterwards, so I don't have good pictures of what has happened, but I will try and describe it. This stairwell to the catwalk is gone, but I figure maybe someone stole it for scrap. WestinghouseII_220 by KP SMITH, on Flickr On the catwalk, there was a large, probably 5 foot by 5 foot hole cut in the floor. Not sure why someone would do this. Before: the hole would be in the foreground of this pic. Westinghouse_316 by KP SMITH, on Flickr After: this pic was taken from the opposite end of the catwalk. You can sort of see the yellow caution tape that was put around the hole. Also, on the railings, someone taped signs that said something along the lines of "do not lean on railings, they do not support weight." These were not there before. WHENov2011_015 by KP SMITH, on Flickr These steps are the before, I don't have an after, but I think they were either covered up or replaced with wood steps. Westinghouse_345 by KP SMITH, on Flickr Not sure what any of this means. Also, just for fun, here is a pic I never posted before, but I like this one. Westinghouse_188 by KP SMITH, on Flickr

Can't wait. Love getting together with the fam! And I just purchased a flash for my camera, so I'm looking forward to some good shots of the nieces and nephews!.
  18. Nice review of SOHO on metromix: http://cleveland.metromix.com/restaurants/restaurant_review/first-look-soho-kitchen/2962546/content?class=editorial-review
  19. I saw that brief showing of CH. It looked like a bunch of 2 family homes, so my guess would be the area west of Taylor and south of Euclid Heights Blvd.
  20. Yep. Especially during the last 1:30. The place went nuts when Montgomery hit that 3 to win it. Yeah I was there too. That was awesome when he hit that 3.
  21. MRN definitely does things differently. If I'm not mistaken, you don't even see any for lease signs up on their vacant properties. Must be nice...

Yeah that pic should be on the cover of a vacation brochure.
  23. Well that is true, Cleveland's music scene is much more vibrant than Akron's. These guys only just recently moved to Nashville from Akron and I think I saw an interview where their parents still live there. Pretty good new album by the way. Here is an interesting interview where they talk about selling out:
