Photography/Photoshop tips and tricks?
OK fellow photogs. As the novice that I am with Photoshop, I am not sure what to do with this picture. Can some of you give me guidance with what you would do to edit this pic? Thanks!

Cleveland: Cleveland State University: Development and News
The Union Building The state awarded nearly $3.3 million in credits to Liberty Development Co. of Westlake, which has a contract to buy the largely vacant property at 1836 Euclid Ave. from developer Gordon Priemer. Liberty envisions an $18 million project, with 71,000 square feet of updated offices, 6,000 square feet of retail and indoor parking in the two connected buildings. Construction could start in the fall, and renovations would take a year. "We think that there are a few areas in Cleveland that are very dynamic. This is one of them," Liberty President Tom Kuluris said, pointing out the building's proximity to Cleveland State University. Kuluris would not identify his potential tenants. http://www.cleveland.com/business/index.ssf/2010/06/four_northeast_ohio_projects_i.html

It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia is so funny.

What are you eating?
I lived in NM for about a year and their state motto is "red or green?" You would get asked that question literally anytime you ate out. Even Mcdonald's had a green chile cheeseburger.

I'm not sure it is replacing chucks. Chucks used to be where deweys is. I think the last tenant was reverb and doughboys before that.

Best Book Store - Cleveland
Also try Apple Tree Books in Cleveland Heights. I'm sure they would probably need to order the book also though.

Photography/Photoshop tips and tricks?
I barely know how to use Photoshop, but I read this article about dodging and burning to bring out the whites and blacks. http://www.lightstalking.com/dodging-burning I use a gradient map to convert to b&w (not sure if that's the best method). Also, two of those shots in my set I used one of my favorite features in Photoshop - Equalize. Equalize does not always get the effect I want, but it frequently does.

Holden Arboretum
Took a trip out to Holden Arboretum last Saturday. It sure is the snow belt out there, probably a foot and a half on the ground out there at the time and maybe an inch or two in the Heights.

New UO site design suggestions
Should UO be turned Wikileaks style where we encourage people to steal confidential information from local government and private companies? (I don't really understand what Wiki means or why it's called wikileaks)

New UO site design suggestions
Keep the "Recent Forum Topics" on the main page. I use this MUCH more than actually exploring the boards.

CLE: A Brief Wondorous Tour of New Eastside Construction
Certainly not all inclusive, but here are a few buildings currently being built. First, a few pics I posted recently in the UARD thread. Next, Midtown Tech Park Middle eastern grocery store (I believe). It seems like this building has been moving along VERY SLOWLY. Maybe money issues?? Emerald Alliance V - homeless apartments New Cleveland Clinic Lab building. New juvenile justice center. I like the contrast with the old house in front of the new building.

Cleveland Heights-South Euclid: Oakwood Commons
The bad news is that if this site became a park, CH and SE would be out a substantial amount of money from property taxes.

Who is generally more knowledgeable about their city? -- Cleveland
True, and I would have to agree with you that it's impossible to verify. I think it's too broad of a question. I know people in the city, inner-ring burbs, and outer-ring burbs that are both knowledgeable and not knowledgeable.

Who is generally more knowledgeable about their city? -- Cleveland
On the flip side, how many of us have heard the following (inaccurate) comments from suburbanites - "no one goes downtown", "downtown is dead", "there's nothing to do in Cleveland", etc.

Best Movies Ever Made?
100% agree. If Point Break comes on I know I'm watching it. "You gotta go down. it's gotta BE that way!" Makes me laugh everytime.

Cleveland: University Circle: Uptown (UARD)
Challenge accepted. I live in CH and have not even been down to this area since they broke ground, so I figured I should check it out. Yesterday was also a great day to be out taking pictures, we actually had a sunny day.
