Okay, my husband and I were on a trip to Fredricksburg, VA. It was around Thanksgiving. We were on Caroline Street around dusk, under the old fashioned gas lamps. Light snow softly falling. We were walking by an antique jewelry store and he said that he was looking for something for his father like a watch. We went in and he bought this ring that was the most gorgeous antique ring I'd ever seen. He pulled me outside under the lamplight and told me that he couldn't think of anyone else he'd rather spend the rest of his life with. Then we went to dinner at La Lafayette and the place was packed so they sat us by the kitchen in a private little alcove and the staff kept coming over to congratulate us and it was the best ever! He didn't plan any of it, just went with the moment.

Just a quick update on Sean's Place at 11100 Clifton Blvd. We've added brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. Our chef if Ryan Fee, formerly of the Ritz Carlton. We are a small trendy,eclectic restaurant specializing in casual dining with a fine dining taste. We cater to the urban sophisticate. Our Chef Ryan Fee comes to us from the Ritz Carlton. His presentation is picture ready. The quality of his dishes will make you want to take him home with you (as a matter of fact, one of our customers tried this already!)! We have a set menu but, hey, we're ready to try anything you might suggest (within reason!). We also love our regular customers and since they're like family to us, we make sure that we always have THEIR favorites ready for them. Our Sean's Chicken Paprikas is our signature dish. Hi, there is a new restaurant opened at 11100 Clifton Blvd. Sean's Place is a full service restaurant that offers casual dining. It is in the same block as Truffles and Castle Ice Cream. It used be known as Metro Joe's which was a coffee shop. The previous owner died back in October, he was my brother Sean Donovan. My parents have re-opened a new restaurant and we would really enjoy seeing all of the old Metro Joe regulars and Sean's friends. Thanks and hope to see you there, Mary

Hi, I'm new to this site. It's really great. I'm looking for some pictures, preferably black and white, of architectural/historical interest of Cleveland for my brother's restaurant. His restaurant is Sean's Place at 11100 Clifton Blvd. It used to be his coffee shop, Metro Joe's. Sean passed away in October and my parents have taken over the restaurant in his memory. Part of the proceeds from the restaurant are going to the Hospice of the Western Reserve who took such great care of our Sean in his last days. Also part of the funds are going to the Ryan White foundation through the AIDS task force. Our Sean was only 36. He loved black and white photography and used to have it displayed in his shop on Clifton and on Bridge Street in Ohio City.
