Cleveland - next UrbanOhio forum meet will be....
I have two. We've never really done an eastside/University Circle one. For a non-Alcoholic location, how about: 1) Algebra Teahouse (walking distance from Redline and Euclid Corridor) 2) Jolly Scholar on CWRU campus... Very cheap drinks plus happy hour.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
I would still recommend the E.120th stop over the University Circle stop. Less walking in both directions for both University Circle and Little Italy. Nowadays, it's much more safe (Mostly thanks to the TOD built around it in the past 1-2 years).

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
You can also take the redline the whole way Redline. Nowadays, I would get off at the E.120th stop for Little Italy and UC. Just make sure you look at a map so you know where you're at. And as was said above, W.25th stop for the Westside Market.

Cleveland: University Circle (General): Development and News
In order news, I was walking past the Cozad-Bates house today and noticed about four to six vehicles parked in the back, all the lights on, and people inside. Now I don't know if this is part of some routine maintainance, but when I walked across to the front, I noticed this had been put up across the front porch: Looks like something is happening in there. I really hope it's going to be some sort of Cleveland/Ohio Underground Railroad Museum.

Cleveland: Cleveland Institute of Art Expansion
^ Thanks the update. Like I've said before, internal renovations have occurred (phase I of the project), but it is still sad to see the hold up. Now being a veteran of watching Cleveland development, and the patience that goes along with it, I am not worried...yet.

Cleveland PD Editorial Series 2011
The Cleveland PD will be spotlighting Cleveland's successes, and apparently focus on erasing city pessimism. From the first article: "For the rest of this year, this editorial page will spotlight these successes and try to spark the conversations about how to build on them and turn these small points of light into powerful beacons. We will cheer, cajole and sometimes criticize -- but always with the ultimate goal of banishing Eeyore from the lexicon and mindsets of those who live here. That includes the schoolchildren who too often associate their hometown with failure and assume that the grass is greener everywhere else." Building on Greater Cleveland's strengths: editorial Published: Sunday, February 06, 2011, 4:00 AM Within the past month -- in downtown Cleveland alone -- work has begun on a medical mart and convention center; a Flats East Bank office, hotel and retail complex; and a new Inner Belt Bridge. Just last week, developers of the voter-approved downtown casino purchased riverfront property for their main complex and announced plans to open a high-end gaming operation on Public Square within a year. Major construction projects continue at Cleveland State University, as well as in University Circle, Midtown and Chagrin Highlands. So let's stop thinking like Eeyore, A.A. Milne's perpetual pessimist. The sky here is not falling. In fact, look around. http://www.cleveland.com/opinion/index.ssf/2011/02/building_on_greater_clevelands.html

Cleveland: Downtown: May Company Building
From Freshwater: main course: tri-c's new hospitality facility deepens local culinary talent pool Lizzy Caston Thursday, February 03, 2011 Higher Education, Local Food This past October, Cuyahoga Community College relocated its 20-year-old hospitality management and culinary program from the older Metropolitan Campus to a gleaming new complex on Public Square. Although the move from E. 33rd and Woodland to the center of downtown was less than a half-mile, the shift will forever change Cleveland's culinary economy. A multi-million-dollar restoration project has transformed the historic but long-abandoned May Company building into one of the city's boldest development showcases. The 25,000-square-foot facility features top-of-the-line instruction kitchens and high-tech classrooms that employ video monitors and internet streaming. Also in the facility is a demonstration studio and elegant reception hall. http://www.freshwatercleveland.com/features/trichospitality020311.aspx
