  1. Thanks @Morningtheft2 ... well I'm definitely embarrassed...especially with the the Cudell Improvement Inc post right above my own post. I suppose all I can add to the overall knowledge is that it's the same owners as Troubadour.
  2. I was at Troubadour Coffee Roasters today on Lorain Rd in Fairview Park and it mentioned they’re opening a second location in Cleveland city on Clifton Blvd. I didn’t catch the exact location, but it sounded like a block or so east of Lucky’s. I asked when they were opening, they said February... as long as the city of Cleveland paperwork/permits and the many, many steps don't get delayed much anymore. Going to be a cool edition to the neighborhood -- the spot in Fairview Park offers some bottled craft beer along with exotic coffees.
  3. One more bit of news coverage: EDWINS Bakery & Training Center to bring European sweets and breads to Cleveland's Buckeye neighborhood Posted: 12:14 PM, Dec 19, 2019 Updated: 6:21 AM, Dec 20, 2019 By: Kaylyn Hlavaty CLEVELAND — The man behind Cleveland’s pioneering EDWINS Leadership and Restaurant Institute, a place that gives formerly incarcerated adults a foundation in culinary and hospitality, is expanding the opportunities with the EDWINS Bakery and Training Center. Located at 13106 Buckeye Road, just blocks from Shaker Square, the 2,900 square foot space serves as a diner, bakery and training ground for hands-on education and work experience. The bakery and training center is set to open on Dec. 20. This bakery will resemble one you would find in a café in Europe, and to ensure the authenticity of the menu offerings, Chrostowski enlisted the guidance from Kurt Zoss, the head baker and instructor at large, formerly of Zoss the Swiss Baker fame. https://www.news5cleveland.com/lifestyle/food/edwins-bakery-training-center-to-bring-european-sweets-and-breads-to-clevelands-buckeye-neighborhood

City Planning Commission OKs early designs for mixed-use projects near MetroHealth campus Updated 1:54 PM By Jordyn Grzelewski, The Plain Dealer CLEVELAND, Ohio — A plan to build new housing for Clark-Fulton residents and people who work at the MetroHealth System took a step forward with the approval of early designs by the city’s planning commission. The commission on Friday approved schematic design plans for a mixed-use building that developer NRP Group, in partnership with MetroHealth, plans to build at 3400 West 25th St., across from the health system’s main campus on the near West Side. Developers plan to use the first floor of the market-rate development to support a small business such as a grocery store, Zucca said. “We are not looking for a national chain,” he said. https://www.cleveland.com/business/2019/12/city-planning-commission-oks-early-designs-for-mixed-use-projects-near-metrohealth-campus.html
  5. ^ Correct. This would technically be a corner of Glenville / Wade Park looking at the map.

Cleveland Officials Have No Cost Estimate For New Police Headquarters Nick Castele November 25, 2019 Cleveland officials say they don’t know how much it will cost to build a new police headquarters along the Opportunity Corridor, but it may exceed the $60 million originally slated for the project, At a Monday morning committee meeting, city council members pressed administration officials to provide cost estimates and explain why police now plan to move their center of operations outside Downtown. “Is it prudent for us to lock into a location if we don’t know the cost?” Councilman Tony Brancatelli asked at the meeting. https://www.ideastream.org/news/cleveland-officials-have-no-cost-estimate-for-new-police-headquarters
