The new shop will be sandwiched between Crop Bistro & Bar and Bonbon Pastry & Cafe in the 2500 block of Lorain Avenue, near the corner of West 25th Street. http://www.cleveland.com/dining/index.ssf/2013/09/ohio_city_nabs_piccadilly_arti.html

wow.... very sad to see one of the coolest courtyards in Cleveland being destroyed. Since it only takes up the NE Corner...is possible to demo the rest of the structure and wrap around the parking? This really would create a place holder for future development.

Very interesting location...closer to Wade Park Ave: More apartment style housing planned for Northside Targeted to be finished in fall of 2015, will house approximately 300 upperclassmen Mike McKenna, News Editor September 13, 2013 Filed under Headlines, News Despite their large class sizes, current freshman and sophomores who want to live in university owned housing as upperclassmen should have an easier time finding shelter soon. According to Interim Director of Campus Living Loretta Sexton, the university plans on building apartment style housing that will have room for approximately 300 juniors and seniors in time for the 2015-2016 school year. According to Sexton, the new structure will be situated in the space that is currently the throwing sports field behind Clarke Tower near the corner of E 115th and Wade Park Ave. The house that sits at the junction of those two streets is not owned by the university and thus its property will not be included in the new construction. The new apartments will sit just south of that land. http://observer.case.edu/more-apartment-style-housing-planned-for-northside/#sthash.HWH5NsVB.dpuf

Cleveland: Case Western Reserve University News & Info
The world has discovered Case Western Reserve University: editorial Editorial Board By Editorial Board on September 13, 2013 at 6:15 PM A recent Plain Dealer article about the growing popularity of Case Western Reserve University among international students offers up an astounding fact: The most common hometown of the incoming freshmen this year is Beijing. And Shanghai is third. Foreign students in general account for about 12 percent of the 1,200-plus freshman class, up from about 3 percent in 2007. Overall enrollment is now about 20 percent international. These are positive trends that didn't just happen by accident, but are part of a concerted effort by CWRU to expand the school's international reach, both in the research it conducts and the students it attracts. The strategy is wise and the benefits many, not the least of which is to introduce bright, energetic students to Northeast Ohio, a region of the country that they might otherwise overlook. Lets hope many of these students find more to like here than their education and decide Cleveland is a great place to live and work. www.cleveland.com/opinion/index.ssf/2013/09/the_world_has_discovered_case.html

Case Western Reserve University Spartans Athletics Discussion
Solid start for Case Western football to open the season. They face 2 nationally ranked teams this year in Linfield (Oregon) and Trinity (Texas), so a fast start is highly needed. A winning football team is a fun thing to follow in Cleveland :D ...plus another recommended University Circle event. Balanced Offense, Dominant Defense Leads Spartans in 37-16 Rout of Marietta in 2013 Season Opener CLEVELAND – A balanced offense that saw four different players score touchdowns and a dominant defensive effort led the way as the Case Western Reserve University football team opened the 2013 season with a 37-16 rout of visiting Marietta College on Saturday night at Case Field. http://athletics.case.edu/sports/fball/2013-14/releases/201309071osh4m

More global presence in University Circle: Cleveland's economy may get a boost as international students flock to CWRU Robert L. Smith, The Plain Dealer By Robert L. Smith, The Plain Dealer on September 06, 2013 at 7:41 PM, updated September 08, 2013 at 7:29 AM CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Junpeng "J.P." Wang stepped off a plane in Cleveland two weeks ago nervous, excited and anticipating an adventure. He was 7,000 miles from his home in Shanghai, China, in a new city in a new world. What he found on the campus of Case Western Reserve University surprised him. "Too many Chinese," said the good-natured Wang, 19, who had hoped to try out his high school English on Americans, not other Mandarin-speakers. Still, he met young people from India, Africa and Europe at orientation for international students, and phoned home with good news. "They're all very interesting people," said Wang, one of about 1,200 incoming freshmen at CWRU. "I found out Case is a great school." http://www.cleveland.com/business/index.ssf/2013/09/clevelands_economy_stands_to_g.html
