Yeah, definately sounds like a slow day... But, either way, let's face it. Publicity is publicity. It doesn't REALLY matter if it's good, or bad... especially with something as minor as a parking space! god knows how many people were unaware of Stonebridge until they read this article. It reminds me of my buddy that used to go around from city to city opening up adult book stores. One of the industry secrets was to open up shop, then call the local news station on yourself posing as a disgruntled resident. When they make a big deal about it on the 5:00 news, they interview about a half a dozen local citizens that are absolutely appauled that this "smut" is in their neighborhood. He says by 10:00 that evening the stores were packed. I would bet for every one person thinking, "wow, those stonebridge guys are ***holes for not selling them bigger parking spaces" there are 3 people thinking, "hmm, I wonder if those condos are all sold out.. I mean, afterall, that lady profited $30k in 2 years"

Long time, no updates. here it goes: I talked to one of the sales reps... 35 units sold, with deposits on "several more". From the context of the conversation, it sounds like business has picked up to 2-3 units being sold per week, and there are supposedly only 6 of the original 12 penthouses available. Anticipated completion date is still late July/Early August. Although, in my (inexperienced) opinion, it looks a little farther than 2 months away from being finished.

Ohhh! and Subarus. Don't forget, Subarus for everybody!!! :) and yes I actually drive one.

108 units, all condominiums. edit: the way I understand it happened is they rented a good portion of the units in the "towers" building, but the demand for condos was high enough that they began selling them as condos. I am 100% sure that phase 5 is all condos though.

No pics... I took a few today w/my camera phone and they aren't worth posting. I did get a chance to swing by and ask how many units were sold. They said 20 units are already officially sold, with "several more" being held (they have a deposit). Most of the units that are sold are on the top floors. Expected completion date is still late July/early August.

Uh... yeah... I'm pretty new to all of this stuff... but I'm also pretty sure when somebody is trying to take your property by eminent domain, being hard headed and arrogant probably isn't the best approach. I look forward to the flats being a desireable destination again someday. People with an attitude like that shouldn't be any part of it.

haha.... you're right... but I still think it's better than just bricks.

Has anyone stopped by and checked it out lately? The ground level doesn't seem to be as bad as everybody makes it out to be. I saw they had installed some nice glass block in the brick work. I'm not saying it couldn't be better... it just seems a lot better in person than it looks in the pictures. Also, I got a chance to drive past the pinnacle condos and saw their pedestrain-level parking garage. eww. Awesome location, though.

That's exactly what it was... except I only caught half of the segment, so I didn't understand exactly what was going on. did anybody else see this?

I don't know, but she was really, really upset! and yes I've read all about stonebridge... it's just exciting to see new things happening every day.

On a side note, I turned on the TV last night and saw channel 5 doing an interview with the owner of one of the bars on the east bank. She was totally pissed, talking about all the "cookie cutter" designs and plans they had for the flats. It said wolstein was starting demolition of buildings next week. Go flats! Ohh! Can I have the one with the plastic windows?!! Actually, I put a deposit down on one of those 1 bedroom units. I've been shopping for awhile, and after doing lots of research (a good portion of it from this website -- thanks guys!) I couldn't resist. Although, I don't think I fall into the "urban" enthusiasts category. At least not yet, anyway. Keep the good info coming! I may have some pics to contribute myself, shortly. and thanks again.
