Yeah, 4 units. Two done, currently working on the third. Waiting for the weather to break before I can work on the exterior.

Moving to Cleveland: Detroit Shoreway, Ohio City Ideas
Thanks, i'll post some pics this week of one of the units that I havnt renovated yet, it's pretty gawd awful. Were getting 600/mo out of the renovated units now which I dont think is bad. In this market in these times theres no way we could sell until we get it fully renovated and occupied. I still have to rebuild the front porches as well, theyre an eyesore at the moment.

Despite what you may assume KJP, I dont "shit" everywhere on this planet . Thanks for the compliment though, I did it all myself. It's a former crack house. The cops still come by every now and then looking for people that lived there long ago.

Cleveland - St. Clair Ave. from E. 55th to MLK
"White Motor Company was an American automobile and truck manufacturer, in existence from 1900 to 1981. Before World War II, the company was based in Cleveland, Ohio." My grandfather worked their as an engineer in the 40's.

Moving to Cleveland: Detroit Shoreway, Ohio City Ideas
Thats not a bad location, it's an area in transition, and with that you'll have a few undesireables roaming around. I've owned the building across the street from there for around two years now and have had no problems with theft or breakins. Were about half way done with renovating, putting money in it while we have it and trying to bring in a better quality of tennant. Here's some pics of the inside, looks better than the outside at the moment, but bear with us.

Cleveland - Downtown, Lakewood, or Coventry
I currently have one of my apartments on the market right now. It's on the west side about a half mile south of Lakewood. It's a 2 bedroom side by side, kinda set up like a townhome. Has parking for three cars just for this unit. It's on a double lot, so it has a large fenced in back yard if you have a dog or kids. Good next door neighbors as well. Full basement. Triskett Rd. RTA Rapid station is within walking distance. 625/mo. Let me know if theres any more info you may want. Jus throwin it out there.

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
My guess is that it's the building that Wish used to be in. Down the alley behind Pinnacle and the Cloak factory. That's one of the only buildings i can think of that havnt been rehabbed down there.

Ohio Smoking Ban
right now I would rather the "activists" focus on adequete after care and other benefits for veterans rather than advocating for them be able to smoke their lungs out at the VFW. I love focusing on the little picture, it is so blissfully districting there is a thing called free will. this isnt a communist nation yet.

Capri, Italy
My gf is actually there right now.

Ohio Smoking Ban
Nope, it pretty much a blanket law. The VFW just lost a fight to lift it from their clubs. It's pretty ridiculous. Our service members who put their lives on the line at 18 cant drink till their 21 and then come home and arent allowed to smoke in their own club.

Ohio Smoking Ban
I just feel that people have the right to choose what they want to subject themselves to. I personally hate cigarette smoke. But I also know that I can spend my dollars in places that are non smoking.
-
Ohio Smoking Ban
You dont think this infringes on property rights? So it's ok that owner isnt even allowed to smoke on his own property that he pays taxes on? No one ever forced anyone to enter a smoke filled bar.

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
You might wanna blame Sushi Rock management. About a year ago the owners hired a guy to manage their restaurants. I wont name the guy but he has basically run the place into the ground. They just cut all their managers health care three weeks ago as well as performance bonuses. As you can imagine morale might drop. Dont be surprised if Sushi Rock closes its doors within the next year, and its not because of lack of business.

Gas Prices
Great article. It almost makes me laugh. These a**holes are reaping what they've sown. Buy local! I dont remember the last time I've purchased something from a multinational corp (other than gas). It can be done.

Amtrak & Federal: Passenger Rail News
I'm just waiting for the private sector to get in on rail real soon. Theres alot of money to be made there. I'm still blown away as Ohio continues its project to expand 71 to three lanes.

Cleveland: Random Development and News
I believe a big reason for Marous doing quality work is that its owners, up until they started the company worked in the field, two as union carpenters, one as a union operating engineer. They know what is acceptable and what is crap. Alot of other contractors that have been around the area for generations dont have that type of field experience around anymore. Most are run by college grads with no experience actually doing the work and understanding what actually works best in real life, not on paper. I see this first hand being that I spent two years working for Marous and can compare them to other companies. I've dealt with management from other companies where they send some college grad out on the job trying to tell you how you should be doing your job. That never happened with Marous.
