  1. well i know lakewood is at the top of my list when it comes to ladies. though i usually run into some fine femmes when carousing about in tremont. i'd also have to include the edgewater neighborhood.
  2. an "early" suburb. my lakewood home was built in 1895. i think when most people around here think of suburb, they think of mentor, strongsville, solon and such. though nonetheless, technically it is a suburb.

nice pics! i also like the mayors new plan for the city. very forward thinking.
  4. im pretty sure attendance figures will rebound significantly once people realize this team is for real and the weather cooperates. weve had what? 10-11 home games so far and for all but maybe 2 or three its been pretty frigid or raining. also once school lets out for the summer things will rebound.
  5. im talking about the west shoreway. west 54th. bulldozers and backhoes.
  6. does anyone know what is going up at the foot of w. 54th and the shoreway? ( i believe it's 54th) i see utilities being run there. condos? more townhomes? its an excellent location. maybe getting a head start in anticipation of the boulevard conversion.
  7. hey now, i live south of detroit in lakewood and frankly its a nice little area and my neighbors are great. ive never had any problems in the 3+ years ive been here.

  10. noticed today they were pouring concrete for the footers of the townhouse phase today.
  11. I'll do my best to make it down there. this is pivotal.
  12. maybe once Dan Gilbert gets done consolidating all his 4,500 employees in a signature structure in downtown detroit from multiple buildings in the detroit burbs he can school peter lewis on how to accomplish this.
  13. i like the third rendition. is that the one where they wanted to replace the exterior of the current structure?
  14. it looks maybe another month away
  15. another area you might want to consider is Chardon. its a 10 min drive just south of concord. it has a very nice little downtown area on a square. though it is thee snow capital of ohio.
  16. not to be the nitpicky jackass: not being a nitpicky jackass you must have meant "being the nitpicky jackass......."
  17. not to push it on you but i myself am a mainly suburb commuter being that i live in the city but mainly work in the suburbs and find it to be very easy being that you dont have to deal much with traffic. when you drive from downtown to concord in the morning the majority of traffic is coming from the suburbs to the downtown area and vice versa in the evening. i wouldnt trade living in the city for anything. though if you were to look for a nice area on the east side i would recommend Willoughby. it has a nice downtown area and its own local brewery, Willoughby Brewing Company. welcome and good luck!
  18. this is amazing being that Rock Creek is one of the most depressing small towns ive been through in northeast ohio. that have virtually demolished their downtown area, replaced by a couple gas stations (both now closed) and vacant lots. why doesnt cleveland or lakewood inquire about this project. i cant believe ODOT is paying for it.
  19. try Ten Thousand Villages on Euclid by CSU.
  20. dont be scared by what you read. its an exciting time to be living in cleveland. downtown is in the midst of transitioning itself with many new residential projects as well as great restaurants and other nightspots. painesville is still kind of downtrodden being that it relied mostly on manufacturing for many years though not a bad place to live yet not the most desirable by any means. Akron has redeveloped itself nicely in the last ten years or so with a neat downtown college area. Though it sounds to me that the Ohio City neighborhood of cleveland would suit you nicely. it sits adjacent of downtown directly across the cuyahoga river. you have Great Lakes Brewing Company with its excellent line of craft brews and excellent food to boot, the West Side Market with any kind of produce or meats you could ever want right off the truck from local farmers. and many other good restaurants and shops lining W.25th street. very lively street life also along 25th. lots of victorian type homes mixed in with newer townhomes and condos. W. 25th also has a train station on the Rapid Line that will take you across the bridge to downtown to tower city where you can connect with trains that will take you to other parts ot the city east and south. Also, the rapid line that comes to W. 25th runs directly to the Cleveland-Hopkins Intl. airport terminal.
  21. i think NASA being involved in this is a huge addition to the festival and shows how far this fest has come and how it is evolving.
  22. well than why diid work stop on their other site where they started building townhomes? i got some insider info that zaremba wants to use non union labor (amish and mexicans) to work on the 10 story condo tower and that may be a roadblock with certain port authority members being that the port is financing a portion of this project.
  23. if that was the case they would need to dig up the lot to remove the line.
  24. i have a feeling its something more than a power line. sounds like bs to me. a power line wouldnt stop you from running sewer lines, water lines, doing normal site prep work that doesnt involve powerlines, now that i think about it this is really absurd, i think there banking on people not knowing much about the construction process.
