  1. I don't think any of this will happen. They'll be lucky to have the games at all, with just teams in the stadium.
  2. It is much needed. The entertainment industry is still in forced lockdown, with no opening in the foreseeable future.
  3. I have a friend that works there and this is what I've seen with him. He was laid off early in the pandemic, but is back to work there currently.
  4. Abandoned rail lines are an entirely different situation than putting a greenway right next to active tracks.
  5. Neighborhoods built in 1900-1920 there are many.
  6. Are there side-by-side doubles in Cincinnati? The house will be big, but your tenant will pay your mortgage for you. My Cleveland house is 4200 square feet, and my half is slightly bigger than half because I have the attic finished.

They could use less fields if they played 3-4 games per day on the same field. Have them start at 9 in the morning and run until late. I work away from home for months on end. If someone wanted to give me an MLB contract, I'd gladly stretch it to 6 months if it meant playing the game I love, making millions and keeping my family safe and secure.

I don't see how the NFL will make it past the first week either. The NBA and hockey seem to be getting it right, but smaller format with playoffs makes it easier to pull off.
  9. Not at all. But also awaiting juicy details of your drunk neighbor and his parking techniques! ?

Amazing--I've lived here my entire life and grew up on boats and never heard of this! I'll have to watch for the next inversion.

You can see Ontario from Edgewater?
  12. First look: ‘Vision for the Valley’ plan for the Flats, Cuyahoga River ready for Wednesday unveiling online By Steven Litt, cleveland.com CLEVELAND, Ohio — With apologies to Rodgers and Hammerstein, the soundtrack for a new long range plan for the Flats and the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland could be “The Farmer and the Cowman Should be Friends,” a song from the 1943 musical “Oklahoma.‘' That’s because the Flats — the flood plain on either side of the river — has been the scene of a slow-motion land-use war for decades. https://www.cleveland.com/news/2020/07/first-look-vision-for-the-valley-plan-for-the-flats-cuyahoga-river-ready-for-wednesday-unveiling-online.html
  13. It's a shame the entire Viaduct couldn't be saved.
  14. I don't see this happening without meaningful population growth for the region. Even with all the out of state license plates, we are still a long way off.
  15. Maybe it's one of those floating drive ins that are popping up all over the country ?
  16. If you have to ask....follow the money

Someone should wake up Frank Jackson and try to get them in Progressive Field. It would be a nice little bump for the local hotels and restaurants, within a quick 40 minute flight to YYZ if any players need to pop home.
  18. Ah I have not tuned in yet. So is it like Tribe/Cubs World Series crowd? Or an April game at the old Muni stadium, with 2,500 in attendance? ?
  19. I'm just wondering how the TV broadcasts will go with no fans in the stands. Will they leave the mics open so we can hear the banter and trash talk between the players? Could be a new found level of fun in watching baseball! ?
  20. I imagine there are some commercial landlords playing nice and trying to help out, lest they lose their tenants. The truth is the vast majority of commercial tenants now are not paying rent at all. This could be the source of the next market crash, and also the subject for the US economy thread. I wish MGK well in this space--I'll stop by for a coffee to support.

Its almost like payday lending is a shady business! ?
  22. There is no location announced? Something is fishy in these waters! And meanwhile, what happens if Aunt Betsy needs to go to the toilet every 20 minutes? The entire boat has to go with her....
  23. Interesting--I've never seen this photo of Public Hall before. It looks like Music Hall is under construction. I always thought they were built at the same time.
  24. Great news for CGF! These are the kind of businesses the City of Cleveland should be trying to attract to Burke or Hopkins...but there are no incentives being offered. Cleveland is in a great geographic location for aviation businesses, with 2/3 of the population of North America within a 1-2 hour flight.
  25. TOD at West Blvd and Detroit would do wonders for extending the development.
