Cuyahoga Valley National Park
That is like multiple childhood dreams rolled into one--destroying a dam while driving a giant power shovel around in a river! 5 year old me would be fulfilled! ?

Lake Erie
Yes color has to due with runoff. The litter was just a guess by me. One would think of cars are being driven less, pollution less that general littering would be down as well.

Lake Erie
We've also had an exceptionally dry June, and I have to believe COVID has cut down on litter as well (less people driving around tossing their fast food cups out the window, etc)

Cleveland: Random Photos
I was searching for a couple photos I thought I had of the new Flats east bank construction but I must have deleted. I did find this one from about a month ago from under the NS bridge at the mouth of the Cuyahoga. Happy summer!

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
I may be wrong on this, I don't think there's been a major renovation since the 1990's.

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
I can see a minor exodus from NYC as work-at-home has taught employers and employees they don't need to pay higher wages and rents to live in the city. But I don't think Cleveland will see much change other than by rank and file who live in Brecksville, Brunswick, Avon Lake, etc and have been fighting against commuting downtown for any reason for decades.

Cleveland: Historic Photos
Such a shame. They should have kept the old buildings, added a casino and made it the Bourbon St of the north.

Definitely true. I have a friend who was West Point, served a couple tours in Afghanistan, then was recruited by Goldman Sachs. Of course the partying stereotype of strippers and coke do ring very true.....

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
Joint press conference today with the FBI, DOJ and City of Cleveland today to discuss the arrest of 2 out of town suspects involved in the riots last weekend. From their Facebook messages, I can't tell if the duo are Antifa, White Supremacists or two guys from Erie that are really really bored and and wanted to lay down their video game controllers.

They've been using it as a parking lot all along--just parking in the grass. I think Westown CDC owns the land. You would think they would want to do something more productive with that prime parcel.

Airline Industry News and Discussion
Lots of small things slipping through news cycles with the Floyd protests, etc. This one could have repercussions in a post-COVID world. Trump apparently responding to China not allowing US carriers in. Obviously the airline industry and business in general wants to reestablish these lucrative routes ASAP. Trump administration bans Chinese passenger airlines from flying to U.S. https://www.cnbc.com/2020/06/03/trump-administration-set-to-bar-chinese-passenger-carriers-from-flying-to-us-reuters-reports.html

I was thinking more in the design/conceptual sense. No one ever does them because our dollars must be spent on $500 toilet seats for navy ships, etc. Road projects always go to the lowest bidder therefore lack originality and durability.
