  1. I've been there many times. The difference is the P&L District doesn't have it's own version of E 4th just blocks away....
  2. Completely off topic and an aside, but if you're ever parking here at the clinic, head on up to the roof. Really amazing views around Cleveland.
  3. If we were to see something like this succeed in Cleveland, we would need a perennial contender, as the Cardinals have been for decades. The LOU gets out to support that team!
  4. Another temporary patch in our blanket that is an airport.... The City has been doing this for 60 years, which results in this-> Looking forward to that master plan!
  5. I would call them and say you've been diagnosed with Corona virus, and is it ok if you take your flight? Oh--and you know people in the media. ?
  6. An email forwarded to me from my travel agent yesterday. This was United corporate talking to travel agents--not the general public. Coronavirus is definitely affecting the economy en masse....
  7. Whatever direction it is, I want to cry every time I see the density that was Cleveland in the 30's-50's.
  8. FYI I flew out of CLE yesterday and 100% of on-property garages and lots are sold out. Spring break time must be starting.
  9. The Cleveland.com commenters would have a field day commenting about the robberies that would occur behind there! They gone!
  10. Sometimes without their wives knowing....
  11. A roundabout at that intersection would make sense. The city also needs to make West Blvd 1 lane each direction (with center turn lane) between Madison and Detroit. That stretch is always a harrowing ride as drivers race through there trying to stay in their lanes. Buses cannot physically stay in their lanes either.
  12. Europe has also charged for plastic bags to dissuade their use for at least the last 20 years since I've been traveling there. Agreed! Only Cleveland.com commenters seem to be truly mortified for their lives!

From the storm this week--wind sent Lake Erie crashing onto lakefront homes in Hamburg NY.
  14. Much of the product packaging we buy doesn't end up blowing through the streets and ending up in the Hudson, East River and on to the oceans...
  15. They should just steal the outlet mall idea before the other monstrosity gets built, and call it a day.
  16. A "standard height" semi tractor trailer is 13'6", so technically almost all can fit under that bridge.
  17. Hopefully any said parking would be built with ground level retail and the ability to construct office/residential on top!
  18. It was nice, but I wouldn't say we are missing much in the current concourses. I personally didn't like it in the summer because the sun would beam through the windows and the AC wouldn't keep up, so it was hot. And the food options were limited, one of which was Subway, so it always smelled like the bread.....
  19. I was procrastinating with work today and read up some on the Aquarama. Also found a Youtube video:
  20. I don't disagree, but better Brecksville (a former employment center) than moving out of the county entirely into farmland. At least this shouldn't require any significant highway infrastructure to service it.
  21. Though arguably one of the best locations you could think to be in Cleveland. The Market, one stop transit to Public Square (also walkable there) and airport access via transit. I'd love to live there!
  22. The IX is over 1 million square feet of floor space. The current convention center is 410,000. Plus a football field? Any expansion over the tracks would have to more than double the size of the existing convention center. Plus, football fields do not make for great show floors. Ceilings are "a bit" too tall. Check the events calendar at Lucas Oil or Ford Field in our neighboring states. Never much going on in the stadiums. But this should be for another thread.... Personally I don't see Progressive Field going anywhere. It is a fan and player favorite. And the management has successfully downsized it by creating bar and patio spaces, which lines up with the other revenue and patron-experience goals in a league with attendance issues. What they need to do is shrink the season, expand the playoffs and perhaps more seats would be needed.
  23. I'm always curious to see what kind of events proponents think will come to a domed stadium year round.
  24. Cleveland also taxes artists who play the venues, and of course the players that play in the venues as well (not small numbers!)
  25. I'm sure there will lots of Cleveland.com trolls living in Brecksville raging on the Cleveland incentives, but have no issue with Brecksville dropping their pants to get this development. Overall I'm fine with it--it's a net win for the region. Let's get both sites built and move on.
