I'm fascinated on how they record these. Does the NBA have a stat person sit there with an iPad and tap on the court location? And how was it calculated before tablet devices?
  2. Thankfully it sounds like they managed to get this out quick UPDATE: Fire stamped out at Reserve Square in downtown Cleveland; East 12th shut down (live) https://www.cleveland19.com/2020/01/24/fire-downtown-cleveland-high-rise-prompts-heavy-first-responder-presence/

Greg Dulli just announced US tour. Video for single (music starts at 1:54):
  4. Could this mean the cinemas at TCC are closing?
  5. I don't disagree re tailgaters. Might be a $hit-show the first few games once it's built though! ? But this kind of shoots the "not enough parking" at Tower City argument down. It will be a relatively small lot on that east end.
  6. What are they going to do with all the daily parkers there? Or Browns tailgaters?
  7. I never understood the "not enough parking" argument. There is the existing Tower City parking infrastructure, and then there are the casino garages, complete with their skywalks. I would think all of that would add up to more than the muni-lot site.
  8. Yes, right across from the Harrah's casino. Our outlet mall should be in Tower City, where it has transit access, benefits downtown residents and has the built in "subsidy" of casino patrons. The tech hub should be somewhere else. My suggestion: a ground floor tenant in 925 Euclid.
  9. I may have my little part in the segment they filmed at Burke Lakefront, which doesn't appear to be mentioned in the article.
  10. Please not Giant Eagle. Please not Giant Eagle. Please....
  11. True--way more OLD money on the east side.
  12. Seems appropriate today... Whenever the government provides opportunities in privileges for white people and rich people they call it “subsidized” when they do it for Negro and poor people they call it “welfare.” The fact that is the everybody in this country lives on welfare. Suburbia was built with federally subsidized credit. And highways that take our white brothers out to the suburbs were built with federally subsidized money to the tune of 90 percent. Everybody is on welfare in this country. The problem is that we all to often have socialism for the rich and rugged free enterprise capitalism for the poor. That’s the problem. 13. Not sure if ever posted--I found when cyberslacking today on a Cleveland West High alumni site. Irish American Day parade 1959 at 95th/Madison. Lots lost in that neighborhood!
  14. Airtrain to NYP. Sometimes faster than the taxi/uber queue at LGA, or even the M60 to the subway.
  15. I use EWR in place of LGA all the time.
  16. I wish them luck! I won't be there... ?
  17. Does this mean far less ERJ 145's in Cleveland? I count that as a win!
  18. The Zapis family are great people. Glad to see they are involved.
  19. That looks like it was a pretty impressive building where the current US Bank Centre stands!
  20. After checking the county property data, it looks like it was once owned by the Clevleand school district, and also operated as a piano wholesaler.

"It's good to be da king...." (or at least his grandson) Cleveland mayor’s grandson pleads guilty to reduced charges, gets probation in assault case https://www.cleveland.com/court-justice/2020/01/cleveland-mayors-grandson-pleads-guilty-to-reduced-charges-gets-probation-in-assault-case.html
  22. Not before some nice "paid administrative leave." And how much do you want to bet he gets to "retire" and keep benefits.
  23. Looks great. What is the total height going to end up at?
  24. Is that just temporary, due to the holiday square lights?
