Cleveland Guardians Discussion
Sports talking heads radio were all speculating Josh Naylor is next on the list. But he's a fan favorite and that rumour has been going around the past couple seasons, so 🤷‍♂️

It's a historical designation building, correct? Maybe this is there way around that to get a surface parking lot.

Brook Park: New Cleveland Browns Stadium
I can't say that any of us would really be surprised by this. Maybe it could be a bargaining chip for any amount of public money.

Cleveland: Cudell / West Boulevard / Edgewater: Development and News
I'd agree. For years it was a solid choice for good food and cheap drinks. It's only seemed to be post pandemic that the crowd changed and neighborhood complaints elevated with increased incidents.

@KJP I didn't realize you were contributing to Cleveland Magazine? Saw the story about the Milwaukee bypass on there. Cool!

The Future of America and Its Cities
Not surprising. There is a large portion of our population willing to make life decisions based only on weather. They move there with no plan, no job, and live a miserable existence all to avoid a little snow. So weak...

Ohio LGBTQ+ News
I'm glad we have someone here on UO who can speak directly about their experiences. What kinds of things do you see from the left? I haven't seen much, other than some of the "protect womens sports" dialogue, which I tend to agree with.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
Should be Bills then as they've already beat the Chiefs this season if they both win their respective divisions? EDIT: Bills have already clinched.

Also 99.9% of them will never even encounter a transgender person in public, let alone walking into a bathroom. Manufactured outrage for the MAGA masses.

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
From today's "The Land" 2 new restaurants in Edgewater and Cudell: Two new businesses open in Cudell and Edgewater neighborhoods BY LEE CHILCOTE ● DEVELOPMENT, ECONOMY, ENTREPRENEURS ● NOVEMBER 26, 2024 A pair of new businesses, Edgewater Sub Shop and Dahlia Coffee Company, recently opened in Cleveland’s Cudell and Edgewater neighborhoods, bringing new energy and life to what were previously culinary dead zones. Edgewater Sub Shop, located at 8605 Detroit Ave. and open seven days a week, now offers hot and cold subs made fresh at an open counter in a bright, hip storefront. Situated smack dab between Lakewood and the Gordon Square Arts District, the area was a virtual sandwich desert until owner Amin “Vinny” Elkhatib and his brothers, Fathie and Adam, opened Edgewater Sub right next to the Boost Mobile store that is also owned by Elkhatib. Dahlia Coffee Company, a woman- and Latina-owned business, recently moved to the Cudell neighborhood, as well. The Mexican coffee shop, which is open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and 9 am to 3 pm on Saturday and Sunday, is located in the former Scoot! Coffee location at 2085 W. 114th St. right off of Berea Road. The new, enlarged space offers the startup the ability to expand their menu and host more events, said owner Natalia Alcazar, thereby exposing more Clevelanders to the magic of Mexican coffee. https://thelandcle.org/stories/two-new-businesses-open-in-cudell-and-edgewater-neighborhoods/?utm_source=ActiveCampaign&utm_medium=email&utm_content=Latest stories from The Land for TODAY&utm_campaign=RSS Newslette

Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
For reference, my wife's family are season ticket holders for the Bills in Orchard Park. They have nice seats in the lower level endzone (similar to our dog pound), and they are hearing PSLs will be $5-10,000 A SEAT. The Bills are definitely getting an earful from the fan base so it will be interesting to see where these numbers land.

Cleveland: Hotel Development
I'm a big fan of Park Hyatt but don't see it happening in Cleveland, unless Hyatt has some sort of subsidy dialed in with contracts from Middle Eastern royal families flying in for clinic treatments. A Thompson would be a great score though
