  1. Labor day would be quieter? When an estimated 100,000 people gather to watch the airshow at Burke?
  2. It's crazy the amount of rail tracks that used to go out to the piers!
  3. I dunno--it says he is from Buffalo, and the firm already has 31 offices. It also plans to expand to 50 nationally. So hopefully Cleveland isn't going anywhere.
  4. Pimp outfit...but no answers!
  5. What an odd place for it--completely disconnected from downtown residents and clearly designed for suburban weekend visitors. But, it's a start....
  6. Cleveland should be going after one of these routes. With all the legacy United/Continental FF's here, surely the Lufthansa *alliance space would be sought after without having to connect in Newark or Chicago? https://www.businesstraveller.com/business-travel/2019/08/07/lufthansa-group-announces-five-new-north-america-routes-for-summer-2020/
  7. What happened to the Cleveland corporate community? Progressive should be sponsoring this as a way to encourage not driving after partying in the flats.
  8. Agreed. Hopefully the planning commission would reign them in where there is already life (unlike the main campus). Not surprised at the expansion at all--it's always crazy busy there, parking is packed. Probably picking up some of the slack for the Lakewood closure.
  9. And they even have an airport on their lakefront too (GASP!) ?
  10. Man this Dewine/Portman photo is just meant for MEMEs! Something about taking away healthcare from the masses!
  11. True--thanks to the Star Alliance legacy fliers here in CLE.

I truly believe that all black cops should start randomly pulling over white people.
  13. Well then! There's that! ?
  14. Proto-Amazon!
  15. Proto-Amazon!
  16. I've mentioned the Delmar Loop (St Louis ) on other threads. Here again is another opportunity for these neighborhood leaders to put their heads together with private developers and invest in a streetcar linking all 3 neighborhoods. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loop_Trolley
  17. Very true...and impressive given the industry is dying!
  18. And hopefully every time there is a ground stop at Chicago ORD, which in the past week has happened multiple times....

When Ohio money is going to prop up an Indiana coal plant, you know that some lobbyist was the author!
  20. Are the rail tracks still currently in use?
  21. In other news...someone wake the Mayor up from his Friday nap https://www.cleveland.com/metro/2019/07/cleveland-mayor-frank-jacksons-great-grandson-accused-of-shooting-at-police-officers.html?utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook&utm_campaign=clevelanddotcom_sf&fbclid=IwAR2ALRgoqGKKtomXY2V7G2sOKL5BP-znMJ9XHbzbSduOk2Hfgw017RQ52z8
  22. I would bet the Lake/Detroit/W80's triangle has taken that trophy from Madison/West Blvd these days....always seems to be something going on
  23. I don't think Warner Swasey would work for a modern manufacturing facility. They need wide-open flat floors with plenty of space to move trucks around outside. It would, however, make for a great TOD housing complex!
  24. I suggest a trip to Europe, where despite 2 world wars that destroyed much of the continent, the continued concern for historical preservation has given us all the gift of aesthetically pleasing cities.
