  1. Agreed--I'm all for traffic calming measures though
  2. Excellent point
  3. Detroit Ave is ripe to bring back a street car!
  4. Miss that french onion chip dip!
  5. Festivals do have radius clauses because they tend to pay more for talent and depend on a regional draw. There are not typically radius clauses between a band playing Indy vs Cincinnati vs Louisville vs Columbus. In this day and age of national and international promoters, they are looking at things like market history and time since the last play, but ultimately it comes down to availability.
  6. Seattle is currently renovating Key Arena, which was lead by a group bringing an NHL franchise there. https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/seattle-city-council-approves-700-million-renovation-of-keyarena/

That would be cool--a modern tower addition emulating their design. To me that would be the smartest thing Sherwin Williams can do.
  8. Antonio Brown and Le'veon Bell? ?
  9. You don't consider casino patrons huddling while smoking across the street "life?" ? ?
  10. With his attitude towards women/relationships he'll end up playing with himself!
  11. Sad...but true. They should be working together as we all know that the weather here isn't always conducive to riding or walking to downtown, so people who choose to live on the greenway would also find their TOD spaces beneficial on days that mother nature refuses to cooperate.
  12. Still not a peep from Frank Jackson's office on this potential development. It may be a pipe-dream, but still worth mentioning. If anyone is at city hall today could they lean in and wake the mayor up? ?
  13. I'm sure Mayor Jackson was anticipating this and has an aggressive re-thought Plan-B package that can be on Bezos' desk this afternoon? Amazon pulls out of $3 billion deal to bring HQ2 to NYC https://nypost.com/2019/02/14/amazon-pulls-out-of-3-billion-deal-to-bring-hq2-to-queens/?utm_campaign=iosapp&utm_source=facebook_app&fbclid=IwAR3Ph6nCatPAWi8aziPuFg-fpr2YKq7e-gM_yEFy4yvdHdTXMjFy25eB-NA
  14. The response of people who have never worked in the "real world." I've been to enough City of Cleveland meetings to hear the administration higher-ups crafting this response. The COO of the City of Cleveland started as a water meter reader. I'm not saying people aren't capable of rising up to high positions without a formal education....but clearly in Cleveland government this isn't the case....

We need more Jasons in Columbus and less BFE rural politicians with concrete lobbyists in their pockets.
  16. Could be a good argument to cap I 90 through this section and rejoin the park. Plus, that stretch is always bad in the winter with the waves crashing over the highway. I've even seen fish laying along the side of the freeway!
  17. 10-11 days a year? I'm crossing my fingers the Browns add a 12th and 13th day next year!
  18. The Jackson administration should: A. Play circus music during their press conferences B. Turn over operations of the airports to people who run airports for a living. City Hall reverses policy, will allow curbside drop-off, pickup at Cleveland Hopkins airport by commercial vehicles https://www.cleveland.com/news/2019/02/city-hall-reverses-policy-will-allow-curbside-drop-off-pickup-at-cleveland-hopkins-airport-by-commercial-vehicles.html

Can't wait for the Jackson era to be over. AT&T tells Mayor Frank Jackson that City Hall inaction has stymied millions in investment on 5G network in Cleveland https://www.cleveland.com/cityhall/2019/02/att-tells-mayor-frank-jackson-that-city-hall-inaction-has-stymied-millions-in-investment-on-5g-network-in-cleveland.html
  20. I won't mind to see 1/2 these taco-craze places close. It's a way over-played fad.
  21. Let me guess...this guy will get a bunch of paid administrative leave, then quietly retire from the force with full benefits. Zone is the best of the worst...I do give him credit. Remember how Mayor Jackson was touting the income tax increase to return services to Cleveland neighborhoods? There was supposed to be weekly street sweeping, etc? I think I've seen a street sweeper once!
  23. He'd have my vote over "Inaction Jackson" or any of the rest of the clowns in city hall!

Must be nice! You're a couple blocks from a city where that would require an act of god!
  25. Love reading those old ads for businesses! Cleveland was definitely humming then!
