  1. 1989 the number another summer (get down) Sound of the funky drummer Music hitting your heart cause I know you got soul (Brothers and sisters, hey)
  2. Isn't that the 55th/Euclid intersection? And so very very sad all those buildings we've lost!
  3. I just went over and signed in on Chrome. At first glance I would say it's definitely faster--so maybe it is a browser issue. Will stay on Chrome and see if it stays that way.
  4. Time to air my First World problems. Since the migration the UO site is still terribly slow to load for me compared to the old version. It feels much like the photo-heavy threads did on the old site, but on EVERY thread now. Currently running the latest Firefox 64.0. Any suggestions?
  5. Will be some epic lines for lunch upon opening!
  6. The same reason everyone from the burbs going to Indians games all get off at E 9th or Ontario, because it's the only way they know how. When the lines start out by the Rock Hall or across W 3rd street, people are inclined to just queue up there rather than risk ending up even further back in line.
  7. Attendance was 88%, which I am frankly pleased with given the weather and the Browns recent history. If they keep winning on through the end of the season we will see the season ticket sales jump up for next season. One thing the Browns HAVE to address are the lines getting into the stadium. I was traveling yesterday, but saw many fans on social media complaining about not getting into the stadium until well into the 2nd quarter due to the slow security procedures. No one wants to leave their warm tailgate fire 2 hours early just to make it in on time!
  8. Exactly what the doctor ordered!
  9. Do you know these people KJP?
  10. Question somewhat related to this thread for our UO attorneys. My wife and I were together for years before finally getting married a couple years ago. Prior to our marriage, I had purchased a duplex in Cleveland and hold the mortgage on it. Is there a quick and easy way to get the wife's name added to the mortgage and deed in case something would happen to me ?
  11. For the money the Clinic is wading in, they should just subsidize it and make it free.
  12. Republicans are for "limited government", unless a lobbyist pays them enough and writes the new regulations for them.
  13. Please don't end your rant.....we need more to keep ranting! I am interested in what percentage of Ohio residents live in urban, suburban and rural areas. Sadly many of the suburban residents vote with the rural interests due to social issues.
  14. I'm sure there are a few lobbyists paying for this.... I wish Ohio would enact a bag fee, as well as beverage bottle and can deposits.
  15. When growing up my parents used to take me to city council meetings. I used to think that people couldn't get more uncivil than what I saw these functions...then along came social media!
  16. Did the promoters of InCuya Fest have dump trucks parked all around the site?
  17. Mayor Jackson's hiring streak continues! SMH?
  18. The City of Cleveland are not great planners of anything, and certainly not events!

IMO it's a "trap" when an officer deliberately hides--only because if you ask any police officer about speed enforcement, they'll always come back with a line about "being visible on the roads to promote safety."
  20. If anyone is flying December 13--take note! United Airlines flight attendants plan system-wide day of protest https://www.bizjournals.com/chicago/news/2018/11/21/united-airlines-flight-attendants-plan-systemwide.html?ana=yahoo&yptr=yahoo
  21. Last updates were 2011 to the tune of over $3 million. It's not horrible....it's just not modern in terms of restrooms and concessions spaces. I do find it sad that Music Hall and Little Theater have been seen by relatively few Clevelanders in recent decades.
  22. I'm sure this is true, but at what other costs? A neighborhood with abandoned houses with a shipping container house dropped here and there? My point is the money could be better spent on drywall, carpeting and plumbing, while removing a blighted property.
  23. Nothing could be further from the worst! Public Hall is a historic landmark!
  24. As long as you don't sell said ticket to a Cubs fan and watch from your apartment!
  25. I don't get this. Give any decent contractor $99K or better yet $149K to rehab one of the many vacant homes in Cleveland. The key is getting the homes out of the hands of the deadbeat owners, and turning the entire property over to a new owner at minimal cost.
