Suburban Cleveland: Development and News
I didn't realize Meijer was moving into the area? Any competitor of Giant Eagle is a friend of mine!

Cleveland: General Business & Economic News
There was no private industry in the USSR, so someone has been watching Fox News for their business and economics lessons.

Cleveland: Random Development and News
I was given no specifics--other than it was a new hotel on St Clair in the Warehouse district. I thought maybe this could be the project...unless there is something bigger brewing on the lots! EDIT: I just realized where this is--I thought this was down by the Justice Center...carry on!

Most of the building now is a parking garage. It could be converted back I assume?

Cleveland: Random Development and News
I heard a rumor from a friend in NY about a hotel going in around there. I wonder who the tenant is?

Cleveland: Rocket Arena (Gund Arena)
Browns Stadium is situated in a place to provide ground-level retail/restaurant spaces for the Lakefront of the development ever takes off. Probably wouldn't be too tough to reverse-engineer on the outside of the venue, just like the Q is doing now.

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
I agree we need more cops murdering people for non-capital offenses. Pulling into an intersection on a green light is murder. okurrrrr. To flip it around, last year when I was stuck on the Main Ave bridge behind them, one of them was doing a wheelie and flipped his bike over on top of himself. If I had run the kid over accidentally, guess who would be getting sued by his parents--even though he should have never been on a freeway in front of me. That's my biggest problem with these kids--they are putting themselves in positions of serious liability, but accept no responsibility. You want to do it? Get the bikes licensed. Wear a helmet. Buy insurance. They are doing none of this.

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
Seems like the dirt bikers are not just from the east side of Cleveland! Richmond Heights and Ashtabula included in these 4 arrested in Lakewood. https://www.wkyc.com/article/news/crime/lakewood-police-charge-four-people-for-atv-and-dirt-bike-chase-through-cuyahoga-county/584056825

Cleveland: Historic Photos
I did a little more digging. It looks like it's proprietor, Sherman Rappaport, produced displays for conventions and exhibits. https://books.google.com/books?id=PyEEAAAAMBAJ&lpg=PA53&ots=KwPWfMevfS&dq=%22sherman%20rappaport%22%20cleveland%20studios&pg=PA53#v=onepage&q=%22sherman%20rappaport%22%20cleveland%20studios&f=false

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
I can't believe the kids are dumb enough to leave the city of Cleveland and venture into the burbs. The further they go west the less the cops will worry about offending someone. I called CPD last year after getting stuck behind them on the Main Ave Bridge. I told the dispatcher--here's your chance! You can get them all at once on this bridge...and if they want to escape they'll have to jump!" Of course no Cleveland Police ever showed up....

Cleveland: Cudell / West Boulevard / Edgewater: Development and News
Right by a cool historic property at 10101 Detroit Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44102. A reno would be nice on that property as its right by the rta station. Or knock it down and put up a 10 story mixed-use building with laundry, store etc.

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
Tower City is clearly where any outlet-style mall belongs--not on the lakefront. I do hope they make this happen with a mix of outlet stores and other retail suitable for the growing downtown population base.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
KeyBank maybe. For the rest of these businesses, there is plenty of space available down Lorain Ave :) Ostensibly there would be a parking ramp component of such a development. I don't see any problem with any of these tenants. They are sort of normal-life businesses for many people.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
Only the originator of a thread or a moderator can post a poll. Ok I wasn't crazy. I remember seeing quite a few of the season-starting Browns polls. Tragic!

Cleveland Browns Discussion
Wasn't there once an option on UO to post a poll? Or am I thinking of a different forum? Might be a good time for one of those with the Browns set to kick off tonight.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
The Madden simulated 2018 season has them winning 8 games. That would be like the winning the superbowl for this franchise. And could win the division this year for a trip to the playoffs. None of the others are looking terribly impressive.

Cleveland: Homeless News & Discussion
Right on it. If you are driving east on the Main Ave bridge and glance down over the retaining wall, you'll see the start of a tent city.

Cleveland Neighborhoods
Well the aging city maintains its one and only grid, while a private enterprise, First Energy maintains its own. So no one is maintaining two grids. You are correct, no one entity maintains both grids--but there are in fact two grids, often in the same locations side by side.
