  1. Would be a great streetcar route, possibly connecting with existing in Shaker Square.
  2. ;) Somethings up with Yabo lately....it is only 50 days till opening day. Maybe his mind will turn to baseball! :P
  3. Green and Blue lines down this morning due to "power outage" at the railyard. Shuttle buses rolling!
  4. Temporary can become permanent in Cleveland faster than you can say "Frank Jackson"... ::)
  5. Oh my you've done it again. So much innuendo, so little time! :P
  6. Maybe self-driving cars? :)
  7. Anyone check out the Google homepage today? Lots of people posting that it looks like "GO CLE"

As a world traveler, I always rely on hotel lobbies for clean, comfortable bathrooms. 4 star and above if possible, but sometimes nature dictates.
  9. Darn it I saw this headline and got excited for something up high to replace "Top of the Town!"
  10. I can't believe that the Rock Hall, GLSC and Cleveland Browns don't all complain about it...
  11. I've always wondered what a fake downtown like Crocker Park would look like if it falls on hard times. A suburban version of 1980's Euclid Ave? Will the people of Westlake flee further west when all the bad elements show up among the boarded-up Lulu Lemons and Cheesecake Factories? :P ;D
  12. This thread came to mind as I was driving in front of the Rock Hall and GLSC yesterday. As we sit on this forum and talk grandiose plans of capped highways and bridges to our famed lakefront destination, Erieside Ave (the actual street in front of the attractions) is a rutted, pothole filled mess. I see many streets in Cleveland that are as bad or worse as places like San Juan Puerto Rico or Mexico City, but I would at least expect the city to maintain and repair one that tourists drive on every day. NOPE!
  13. There are crazy tunnels all over Europe, Japan and Australia like this. In my travels, I've driven through one in Brisbane Australia that is crazy long (Clem Jones Tunnel) as well as one in Oslo on the way in from the airport: It's amazing what you can build when these kinds of projects have oversight from corruption (Boston's "Big Dig", cough cough) and a country is willing to spend on infrastructure instead of new fighter planes that the military doesn't want and $800 toilet seats.

I use the credit cards only line...but I keep waiting for one of them to whip out their phone with a Square account!
  15. Following I own double in Cleveland and thinking of adding another....
  16. ^^True--or everything will be sold off to private developers and we'd have a North Coast bridge toll to walk to the harbor! Cross posting this from the Detroit thread--in my estimation this is what we'd all like to see solve this problem here in Cleveland!
  17. Understood about the train station, just didn't happen as it went to the Terminal Tower. The lakefront location would have been a much better location in hindsight of course and may have helped with Cleveland's long-term public transit development. Today, I wouldn't build a transit hub there. The last version of the lakefront ped bridge is the one that was supposed to go in just prior to the 2016 RNC. Since then, the project is another ''bridge in limbo''. It could still happen...if the #infrastructure President sends some $$ to KJP[/member] for the North Coast Transportation Center! :)

Who, Stephen Curry? Booo! $hit I WISH Steph Curry would come home! Please! ;D
  19. The neighborhood is on fire! This will add many more humans to the streets!
  20. This item is not on the Landmarks Commission agenda for February 8th. It is, however, going to be on the DP&S agenda for February 13. This is open for public comment. Councilman Brancatelli is the chair. DP&S?
  21. About $130. And yes they're individually metered. So your bill nearly tripled with you gone 5 days of the month? It was much more cold last month--but not sure that explains your big increase.
  22. Whatever happens, can we move Jim Jordan's district over into Indiana? :P
  23. I know I'm asking a lot from an agency that invested in POP machines that I have to kneel at, but why hasn't public transit entered the RFID world? I would think technology would allow someone's pass to be read as they step on the bus, with minimal involvement from the driver?
  24. Fewer regulations and governmental approvals required back then. Also more injuries and deaths back then, too. So like looking into the future of Trump's America.....
