  1. To me it looks like some kind of lower-resolution LED screen. The daytime renderings show the building exposed, as if you can see through the screen.
  2. Someone needs some grammar help! It does sound like he was doing Bob Taft!
  3. Not every team changes the regime every couple. I was with you on Kizer, but now that there's a new sheriff in town, let's let the kid play and see what he can do. If not, there's always next year.
  4. The GPS on my car still calls it Buckley Blvd....

No one. The buyer takes on all the risk when they purchase any investment. No one sued when the price of gold dropped in the '80s. This would be the exact same thing. I've done minimal research on bitcoin - what makes them valuable? I get there are going to be a limited number - probably done in 2040, right? Other than avoiding currency translation, why should I care about bitcoins? But arent there people or countries "starting" these currencies? Like Venezuela?

So if one of these crashed in the morning and investors lost hundreds of millions of dolllars, who would they sue?
  7. Sounds like de-hubbing CLE was a bad idea?
  8. Link is not working for me, but I found it on their site and reposting here: http://www.ideastream.org/programs/ideas/remaking-cleveland%E2%80%99s-shoreway-helps-remake-a-neighborhood

If they keep this up, it will be great to rest Thomas and ease him in for the spring run. Looking forward to seeing how this develops
  10. I 90 wasn't completed until the 70's? That's amazing! I grew up on the east side so the freeways were there as long as I can remember....
  11. That was his biggest mistake--as soon as he entered Lakewood their PD was probably had all hands on deck to hunt him down!
  12. This is absolutely not true. Doctors do not receive anything from "big pharma." In fact in this day and age, the FDA has cracked down so much on them they cannot even give doctors the free pens and paper you're probably used to seeing in their offices. One of the great myths of social media.....
  13. Wolstein doesn't have ice, so therefore it doesn't have hockey dashers. Plus I don't think it's big enough? It was never meant for hockey--only basketball. The Cleveland Crunch played there. So they have the dashers and most likely is big enough Oh right--I forgot about the Crunch!

  15. Cleveland: (spoken in a mayor-of-a-small-southern-town-accent....) "We'll let all Amazon employees use our dirtbike track on Thursday afternoons!" Just kidding...I hope. :P ;)

My wife moved to Cleveland to be with me and she is amazed at how many people in Cleveland don't use crosswalks and will run (often with their children) through a busy street just to avoid walking 150' to a crosswalk.....
  17. Can we arrange for Mayor Jackson to go on holiday when they do decide to visit? :P
  18. Agreed, 9 is an embarrassing small number...especially for someone moving in from out-of-town looking for downtown urban ownership. Portland (where I currently live and where the gentlemen from the article above moved from) provides a better example of what Downtown Cleveland could/should look like from a "for sale" offerings metric. Portland OR has a similar 2.3 million metro population. For sale in Portland's city center: Downtown Portland -- 48 condos for sale: https://www.zillow.com/downtown-portland-or/condos/ Pearl District/Downtown Portland -- 52 condos for sale: https://www.zillow.com/homes/Pearl-District-Portland-OR_rb/ Thanks 100 "for sale" options for someone looking to own downtown. Heck, before I bought my own house out here, I personally looked at 30+ houses before deciding. Downtown Cleveland drastically needs a tremendous increase of "for sale" downtown living options. Downtown Toledo lists 3-4 condos for sale :) Just looked at Redfin at downtown Pittsburgh, which is arguably a more similar market. Currently 44 and a great deal of those seem to be from one building (probably just went on market). https://www.redfin.com/city/15702/PA/Pittsburgh/filter/property-type=condo,viewport=40.447:40.42528:-79.98288:-80.01313
  19. Unfortunately they probably demanded a loading dock. Not sure how they could have laid the site out any better to avoid this blank wall.
  20. Looks that way. Ain't it purty?
  21. I stopped in Papa Nicks a few days ago--that appears to be the loading dock and back-of-house. Hopefully they have a tasteful mural commissioned....

So we can have old-fashioned taxi drivers rip us off in person? No thanks.
  23. I knew the intersection at 45th wasn't happening--but I thought ODOT had agreed to get rid of that short merge from 28th. It's insane that they still allow that (almost as much as the drivers who don't know what a yield sign is).
  24. Absolutely amazing and sad at the same time....
